ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS, TRUNION ASSEMBLY CT-7 Read all instructions before beginning assembly. Assemble the trunion, minus the mounting tongues and shock attach bracket. (See drawing 104) NOTE: the aft cross brace, (1 in. square tube) is installed flush with the upper surface of the assembly. Assemble the two mounting tongues. Pass AF-3 through both mounting tongue bearings (See SK-4). Align and weld tongues to the trunion. Remove and store AF-3. Assemble axle bearings to bearing mounting brackets. Attach bearings to axle. Invert trundle and position bearing mounts in position shown on Drawing 104, using axle to hold them in proper alignment. Clamp bearing mounts in position and weld to trunion. Axle can now be removed, if desired. Assemble two trunion mount brackets. (See drawing 104). NOTE: Mating parts have been designed with no "Clearance" between parts. It may be necessary to gring off a small amount of material to allow proper fit. Fit and bolt trunion mount brackets to trunion using "Fiber-lock" or other self locking nuts. CAUTION: Do not overtighten bolts. This can warp the mounting brackets. Tighten bolts only enough to prevent free rotation. NOTE: Shock mount bracket will be manufactured to match shock selected and attached later. This completes assembly of the trunion assembly. |
