Episode 3 - Poem - Da Ming Po
Stone goes out to LA, looking for his wife.  He calls her, but can not say anything when she answers.  The Devil shows up, and we learn that Stone has $36.27 in his pocket every day, the amount he had when he died.  The Devil gives him a clue, a Chinese menu.
At the restaurant, he orders, but leaves when he heard a scream in the back.  He finds a dead body with a page of Chinese poetry over her face.
At the crime scene, Detective Clemens and Sergeant Ash discuss how this is the same as before, but no rice paper.  Stone looks through the files of a police car and finds a copy of the first poem.
Stone finds out the victim, Weh Yei Bing, spent all her time in the community center learning English.
At the community center, he talks with Miss Chow, and leaves his card.
Po finds a potential victim in the restaurant that he works.
Stone meets Miss Chow, asks her to translate the poems.  They are about the love of a young poet for an unattainable virgin princess.
Poe meets the young girl again.  Cut to a newspaper article on her death.     Miss Chow translates the 3rd part of the poem.  The princess loves the poet back, but ultimately rejects him.  He kills her in a fit of rage and wants to write an epic poem celebrating the princess’s perfect purity.  Miss Chow implies that she came to America to escape her old self.  She recognizes a phrase from Da Ming Po’s assignment.
Stone goes to visit Po, and finds his murder journal.  Po is up above in the attic, watching through the slats.  The landlady finds him and kicks him out, “No warrant?  Where you think you are, People’s Republic of China?”
Po asks his coworker about the police.  His friend tells him the cops hate the Chinese.  Po says he should end it now.  He takes a knife and leaves.
At the police station, he confesses the crimes, and then stabs himself.
Stone meets with Ash at the police station.  At his request, she calls the lab and confirms that all three girls were all virgins.  Clemens comes in and tells Ash of Po’s ‘death’.
In the morgue, there is no knife wound in Po’s body.  Stone gets there just in time to see Po walking out.  They fight, the chase leads outside, and Stone is hit by a car.
Po ends up in a club.  Some girl begins talking to him, and he tells her he must leave the city tonight, but would she like to spend some time with him before he leaves?
The Devil shows up and observes to Stone that he and Po both ended up in Hell because of love.  “Without love, you and I would both be out of a job.”
Po prepares to kill the girl on the roof, but when it becomes clear that she is not a virgin, he can not.  He tells her to go.
At Miss Chow’s house, Po ties her up, and tells her of his past.  Although she is not pure, she is born under the sign of the virgin.  Stone shows up, and they fight.  Stone finishes him off with a pair of chopsticks.  Stone asks Miss Chow if she would like to get something to eat.
At the restaurant, she tells him of a legend. 108 spirits are trapped on a mountain.  An Emperor accidentally frees them, and they descend upon the earth.  The Emperor convinces a small group to become heroes.  After many battles, they succeed, but of the heroes end up defeated or dead.
