Turn-ons: Whoa! Not in this interview, pal!

As you can see above, my name is Matt Wolfe. I have been playing Glider PRO since Christmas 1994. At that time it was on a pathetic LC II with a 12" monitor, which meant I could only play in one-room mode. All the houses I built at that time usually had transition conflicts, simply because I didn't even know what a transition was! In 1996 I moved up to a Performa 6300CD and a 15" monitor. Now I could play Glider in nine-room mode, which opened up a whole new realm of possibilites. This past August I moved up to a iMac (grape!) and GPRO has never played better.

To date I have created 21 houses, which I believe is the most by any GPRO author. I have also created a few replacement gliders and some replacement art. I have written articles for three ezines on GPRO and I now have a web site for it. :-)

As I said above, this all started Christmas 1994. My first house was published in April of 1995. During that time period I spent many hours playing and eventually conquering Slumberland, the house that ships with GPRO. If memory serves it took me a little under three months to beat it. There were some points that I thought I would never get further in the house, but somehow I managed too.

So why am I so obsessed with GPRO? I think it's because this game spurs the creative process and is so open-ended, it can outlive most any other computer game out there. Since I've been playing it for six years, I am proof that it can outlast other games. I think I also like the way that GPRO brought people together to talk about house building and all things GPRO. I met a lot of nice people on AOL back in the day. Although I don't hear from any of them anymore, I would always like to talk to them, just to catch up on old times.

Well, I think that's about enough rambling for one day. Any questions about anything please email me.
