ASSESSMENTS for Ohio must be mailed in at the end of the school year, usually with notification forms for the coming year. They are signed by a certified teacher, stating that your child is progressing to the best of his/her ability.
Several homeschooling or homeschool-friendly certified teachers provide this service. You can choose to assess using testing, or if you school with a less structured approach, you can have a teacher look over a portfolio, (samples of the year's learning activities). Forms are optional, but you can find and print both forms at h-i-o.org, |
