Switchback * Yee Haw *
Serious Tech Section
Downhill Switchback

*Yee Haw* is another intermediate single track with climbs and descents. Marc is at the top section getting ready to ride downhill through a tight technical switchback.

This is steeper than it looks from this angle. The split-rail fences seen on both sides of the switchback, define the route you ride down.

For me, the best way to negotiate downhill tech switchbacks is to firmly pull on both brake levers without locking the front or rear wheel, letting the bike find the best track, keeping your balance steady on the pedals.

The slippery leaves make it very interesting!

Beech Tree * Beech Tree *
Tight Single Track

A great single track for intermediate riders. As you can see, the leaves cause a bit of confusion where the trail leads.

BUT... As you can also see, the scenery is great, WOW, and you feel like you're in true wilderness.

This trail is handle-bar tight and requires some precise twisty turns through trees that have grown closely together, but the climbs are easy and won't burn your legs.

Definitely a trail to do at least twice or 3 times.
