The house at 308 Cypress Street has finally come down!
After 4 + years of the 308 Cypress house being vacant and neglected, it finally has come down. Today, November 13th the demolition crew arrived around 7am to begin the tearing down of the house. It took a little over 40 minutes to tear the house completely down. Then it took from 10 am to 2 pm to haul away the rubble in 3 huge tractor trailors.

We would like to Thank...Dan Cummings of News Channel 9 for a wonderful story and great follow ups. We feel very strongly that with out his help and media coverage, we would still be waiting to see the house come down.
We would also like to Thank... The Romanos' and the Meyers' (our neighbors). These families worked with us to help get the word out about the derelict property!
And most of all We would like to Thank...Dorothy Giebel (our mom) She was the driving force behind the campaign to bring down the house at 308 Cypress Street. With out her determination and perseverance the house would be still standing. Thanks Mom!!!
