Chapter 8
He rushed back toward her chamber.   He would not deny her of the very real pleasures she so deserved.  He was sure that he had felt something in those soft, pouting lips.  A craving no man had given such thought to. She was a woman of many inspirations but she lay hidden behind cold stone walls betrothed to a man whom could not find such beauties within her.  He would not be the man to let such things be hidden any longer.  Nay, he would not let them be hidden any longer.    He burst through the door finding Mistress Katharine consoling the confused  heart of his strengths and weaknesses.
"Would you excuse us Mistress Katharine?"he inquired.
"Does Milady wish to be left alone?"she whispered into Lady Symmone's ear.
"You may take leave of us Mistress Katharine,"she replied.
Mistress Katharine nodded in acknowledgement toward the two and  closed the ornate wooden door behind them.
"Why do you torture me so Master Colin?"
"It is only Colin behind these doors Milady and I do not mean you any harm."
"Yet you return to my chamber after I have asked you to leave,"she turned from her dressing table and stood.
"I made an inquiry of you.  Do you wish not to be craved as your betrothed craves others?"
"Your words wish to inflict pain on my soul.  I know of my husband's indiscretions but I am not allowed to have such feelings."
"Being of noble blood makes you no less a woman with such emotions and hungers.   I wish to show you of all those because my intentions for you are nothing but of the purest.  I wish you no harm. I wish to love you as you so wish to be."
"You speak as though you can give me these things,"she approached; the tone of her heart thundering into her ears.  Could he hear?
"If they are to be so, yes.  Only you have say in what your heart implores."
His eyes were cut from the Emerald Isle themselves and held all the answers to the prayers she came to repeat daily."Then have of me what you will.  I can no longer deny the very burnings you fuel within me."
With her words, he swept her  up into his strong yet  comforting arms as
His cell phone rang.  They had taken a break in the studio.  Even though they hadn't spoke for two days, he wanted so badly to hear, touch, see and feel her again.  What had come over him?  He saw her name.  One more ring.  Don't wanna look too anxious."Hello?"
"Kevin?"she timidly inquired.
"Yes?"
"It's Simone."
"Simone."
"I don't know where to start.  I guess I could apologize for the other evening.  I feel like such a fool for doing that to you.  You should know I don't normally do that."
"Well, I don't normally spout off that way myself.  Couldn't you just have told me that there was somebody else though?"
"Would we have still gone out?"
"Yes. Because then I wouldn't have assumed it was a date."
"But it was a date."
"Yes it was. "
"Five minutes Kev,"AJ peeked into the lounge.
"Gotcha,"  I'm at the studio right now but could we maybe get together later this evening and talk.  We really didn't talk much about the book."
"I know.  Where would you like to go?"
"I'd like to take a drive along the coast actually.  I do have a vehicle now,"he quipped.
"Well then.  I guess I'll let you drive this time."
