Este Web site está en marcha blanca. Solamente es posible acceder a la información de la familia Bufonidae por el momento. En una próxima actualización se ingresarán el resto de las familias que conforman la batracofauna nacional.
The taxonomy and systematical of the Chilean Batracofauna (do not exist the salamanders neither the apods), it is reasonably well established. Formas (1995), indicates that in Chile exist 42 native species and an introduced (Xenopus laevis). Are considered within 4 familie: Bufonidae, Leptodactylidae, Rhinodermatidae and Pipidae. Of these four families, one of them is endemic (Rhinodermatidae), and other is exotic (Pipidae). In total, there are 14 genders and 43 species. Exist 33 endemic species (76,7 %), 3 monotipics genders (7 %) and an introduced species (2,3 %). This Web Site is under way white. Only it is possible to accede to the information of the Bufonidae family by the moment. In a next update will be entered the rest of the families that certify the national batracofauna.
