Bored? I´d go to Lynda Barry´s fabulous Ernie Pook´s Comeek at marlysmagazine.com.

Or, scope out salon.com. The comics are what make me want to make comics.

There are more comics on my links page. I´m such a dweeb.

And lo, we are updated.

if I was cool, I´d make thumbnails.

Left: Little dancing kids at the school´s 60th anneversary. She was smiling charmingly ten seconds earlier.
Right: One final hoochie picture taken to sell the folks at home on my lack of hair.

This is my mom. She hates to have her picture taken, but so far she hasn´t complained about being on my links page. So here she is in fuller detail. Isn´t she beautiful?

My death is OK alter. Apparantly there´s this tradition of skeleton lady candle holders, and the skeleton-lady is Frida Kahlo. I don´t know who the people in the old picture are, but they´re beautiful, and probably dead too, and I´ve decided, rather sacreligously, to adopt them as my Mexican ancestors. I talk to them in Spanish, and say prayers for them occaisionally. In return, they make me feel more a part of this place, a host family, in reverse. Ok, THAT´s the sacrelidge part. The little silver things on the cord are milagros, a silver pair of eyes, arm and ankle, which you give to an icon for having those parts healed. Those are my three weak spots.

What I´ve got of my burning man costume assembled so far. Gracias a la vida!

Dedicated to Annie, the pic from my bitter Valentines day rant.

Left: Raaaar. I am a tiger. Bought the mask in Cuetzalan, having fun with new digital camera. Right: Me, thin Mexican blood, freezing in snow at Siskyu Pass, northern California. Later this night my right back tire would be stolen at a Motel 8 in Redding, California.
