Hi, there. I'm Ian Graham Packer. I was born 15 December 1966 in Adelaide, South Australia to Graham and Marion Packer. I have one younger sister, Kim (who is now married to David Green). I lived in the North East of Adelaide and went to Prince Alfred College in high school. When I was 15, we moved to Darwin in the 'Top End'.

After that tropical experience, I went to Perth for two years and then returned to Darwin. There I met the lovely Libby O'Hare who I married in 1989. We shifted to Perth and stayed for 12 years -- a bit longer than the one year we originally planned! |

We have 4 great kids: Danielle (11), Stephanie (9), Samantha (6) and David (4).

I did my BA (Hons) in Politics, Philosophy and Sociology at Murdoch University, Perth, Western Australia. Currently, I'm doing my M.Phil at Murdoch University: "Nonfoundationalism, Convictional Communities and the Role of the ?Doctrine of Creation? in James Wm. McClendon, Jr., Stanley Hauerwas and their Critics." It is being supervised by Dr Ian Barns at Murdoch and Dr Gordon Preece of Ridley College.
I?m planning to do an M.Div at Ridley College, Parkville VIC followed by a Ph.D tentatively titled "Toward a Neo-Anabaptist Theology and Philosophy of Technology and Material Culture." You can go to my Study page for more information.
