Control panel

Volume
Controls the level of the clean channel. At high settings, it drives the amp to the brink of distortion, rather like a Fender Twin Reverb. Tasty.

Gain
Controls the overdrive of the distorted channel. All the way from almost clean to shred-o-rama.

Level
Controls the level of the distorted channel, letting you trim the relative levels of the two channels as desired.

Master
Main volume. Affects both channels.

Bass, Middle, Treble
The usual eq controls. Incidentally, the tone circuits seem to use discrete transistors rather than valves. And why not?

Presence
A subtle effect that might be mistaken for an upper-midrange tone control. Any idea what it's actually supposed to do?

Reverb
Controls the amount of signal sent to the
spring reverb.

If you can shed any light on this weird thing, please write to me at dbNO-SPAM@pixie.co.za (remove the NO-SPAM, naturally!). I'd be very grateful for anything you might know, or even any bewildered remarks you might like to make....
