"Xanadu"Movie Soundtrack-released 1980 on MCA,EMI,Toshiba/EMI and Festival/Interfusion.

Don't fully understand why (although the album sold double-platinum,)the movie bombed??? The 1980 film was a romantic mix of 1940s big band nostalgia, late 1970s roller-disco and centered around an abandoned Streamline Modern era venue.(the now long gone Pan-Pacific Auditorium in L.A.)to become a roller-disco club.
Best scene in the movie was when Sonny Malone(Michael Beck) feasts his eyes on ..and chases sexy muse Kira (Olivia)when he suddenly does a Wile E.Coyote manuver into the lake on a borrowed ACME moped! If this movie is so bad then why wasn't it aired on "Mystery Science Theater 3000"?
But at any rate the film which received a "razzie" award made a comeback in recent years as a cult classic and has returned as a hit Broadway musical in the summer of  2007.

"Love Performance"-released in 1981 on Toshiba/EMI(Japan)
The only known(and extrtemely rare) live LP of Olivia doing a concert in the 70s. Only several hundred(or thousand?) copies were made, then suddenly went out of print before Olivia dumps her then manager/boyfreind and hires Roger Davies(Tina Turner's manager) to help her become even more of a sexy diva in the next album.

The "nice girl" is outta here..at least for now!

OLIVIA TRIVIA:
Q:Why did Olivia refuse to tour Japan in 1979 and 1982?
A:She was protesting the slaughter of dolphins being caught in fishermans nets hunting for tuna.
"Physical"-released in 1981 on MCA,EMI,Toshiba/EMI and Festival/Interfusion..
What started out originally as a very racy song, later became more or less a humerous infomercial for VicTanny and Moore's Nautilus in the form of her first MTV music video where a short-haired,slightly feistier Olivia with a sweatband magically helps transform several fat dudes into several muscular dudes. The song at first was banned from airplay in the state of Utah before making the humerous music video which aired on MTV in 1981,but she won them over in a 1982 concert released by MCA Home Video.
