If They Only Knew
George Harrison narrowed his eyes menacingly. He crossed his arms and tried to look scary but it wasn’t working "Yes" he hissed.

A very pretty girl with long dark hair that sat across from him was having a hard time not laughing. Her lip twitched but she kept it under control "No..." she said fighting the urge to crack up.

George raised one eyebrow "Oh reeeeaaaally" He quirked his eyebrows up and down "Uh huh" he said

Gabrielle couldn’t take it and she collapsed into laughter. "No, no it isn’t fair" she gasped

"Yes! Hah, I win again. Give me yer candy" George declared triumphantly

"No, that isn’t fair George" she whined gaining control of herself and holding her bag of sweets protectively under her arm.

"It is Gab, you laughed first" he said, holding his hand out expectantly.

Gabrielle pulled a face "Don’t call me that you know I hate it"

"Gab, Gab, Gab" he said immaturely.

The two teenagers were sitting a top a double Decker bus bound for the grocery store. They had been play the ‘see who could make the other laugh first’ game all the way their. Gabrielle had nearly lost her entire bag of boiled sweets in loosing every single time.

"But George I only have one left" she whined, trying to pout by protruding her lower lip and sniffling.

He just laughed though "You look funny like that Gab, come on we’re nearly there. You can keep it"

They clambered off the bus and chatted comfortable as they walked down Penny lane toward the greeners.

"Did you have any luck with Amy Prewett yet?" asked Gabrielle, she was popping George’s candy into her mouth as they walked. George had reluctantly handed all his candy over to her after loosing one game in front of the barber’s. Besides he didn’t really like it anyway, to much sugar for him.

"No, she wasn’t having it" he sighed "I don’t know how it happened I mean I got her in the closet and everything but, she wasn’t having it…"

Gabrielle laughed "Don’t worry Georgie" she said patting him on the head "Someday, Someday you’ll get laid"

"But when, is the question" George mumbled

"You’re only fourteen"

"I know" said George exasperated "That’s what’s so bad about it, I’m getting old!"

Gabrielle laughed "I hardly call that old" she said "Besides, one day I bet all the girls will be crawling to you when you’re a famous rockstar like Buddy Holly"

"Oh, go on"

"No really!" she stopped him and held onto his arm "You’re really good George…" She trailed off as she saw George’s eyes follow something behind her head on the street. She turned around and saw a group of boys walking on the other side of the road. It was Liverpool’s own infamous John Lennon being followed by a group of boys in leather jackets and jeans. "How did that go by the way…" she asked, dropping her voice to a hushed whisper as if afraid someone would hear her.

George didn’t answer but waved violently at the boys. Only one, Paul McCartney bothered to wave back. "Not so well" Mumbled George, he turned around and started to walk a bit quicker.

"Ah come on George, that’s just their loss," said Gabrielle as she hurried to catch up with him. "Did Paul tell John about you?"

George slowed down a bit, "Yeah" he sighed "I don’t think it did me much good, Lennon doesn’t really listen to him, I’ll have to give it a shot playing for them sometime"

Gabrielle nodded and grinned "You’ll get em’ George. And besides, if this music thing doesn’t work out you can live in my guest house, yeah?"

"Wow" George said dryly "You’re the best friend I could ever have Gab"
