Home town hero! In a very lucky move, Igloo Harras is asked to join the line up of the Yuk Yuk's Comedy Night held at Good Time Charlies, located in Woodstock. Veteran Yuk Yuk's Star Angelo Tsarouchas M.C.'d the night, and about 10:15 PM he asked Igloo to come up on stage.

Igloo got a very warm reception, and it was great to be on stage after 2 1/2 years off. The conditions were a little better than in Hamilton, as he was at a location that knew him well, and his material was much more rehearsed. Igloo was nervous, but at the same time he was comfortable.

Igloo opened with an introduction, and the explanation of his name, and then jumped into some local political humour, as well as jokes about summertime girls and those beautiful chicks in the junk food commercials. He wound up with cracks about local farmers and seat belts, and generally the 5 minutes went fast and well.

Igloo would have preferred to have have not figeted as much, and it would have been nice if he had moved the mike stand out of the way before he started, but this is food for thought for the next time, and there will be a next time!

The high point was being introduced in the show by Angelo Tsarouchas, and then shooting the hay with him after the show. The low point was when some drunk jerk ripped off a back-pack owned by comic Stephen Fox. Igloo and Stephen searched the area (Parking lots, dumpsters and dark alleys) where the guy could have went for almost 2 hours. Eventually the cops were called in, and Stephen found some of his stuff, but not all of it. It sucks that shit like that has to happen, but the comics stood side by side, professional and amateur alike, and tried to help the fellow guy out.

As an aside, the Woodstock Sentinel-Review was at Igloo's debut, and they snapped a great pic, and got a good story. Check out the story below!
