Yuk Yuk's Comedy Night @ Good Time Charlies

Igloo returns to the Woodstock stage a week after his debut. Not too shabby for a guy who had 2 1/2 years between gigs the last time out.

Igloo was more confident this time, as he was introduced by M.C. Scott Harris, he strode up on stage, remembering to move his mike stand. Scott gave Igloo a great intro, and Igloo did all he could to keep the momentum up. It was apparent that Igloo had work to do to tighten up his jokes, use body language more, and inject some energy into his act, but he definately got more laughs this time than last week.

This time Igloo joked about having his picture in the paper, family reunions, karate lessons, sleepovers, confusion growing up, walking in on your parents, and guys showing thier true colors on the BIG night.

Again, Igloo was lucky to be around so much talent. Scott Harris has been in the business for 16 years. Donnie Coy, the featured act, helped to found Yuk Yuk's with Mark Breslin in the beginning. Donnie was also the M.C. at Igloo's second Hamilton gig. The third comic featured was Stan Thomson, who is also a great Veteran of comedy. Between the three men, there was over 50 years of experience, and Igloo was going to listen to what they said!

The jokes were better this time out, not quite as localized. But Igloo needs to cut the "set up" time down and get to the "punch line" quicker. He also plans to work hard on body language and facial expressions. It's one thing to be funny, and another to keep peoples attention.  Igloo is very lucky to be able to learn from these masters, and hopefully you, the general public, will reap the benifits when Igloo makes you laugh so hard you will pee your pants!

And yes, oh yes, he will make you pee your pants!

Post Script-Igloo returned to Good Time Charlies on July 3rd 2002, expecting to go on stage, and however was asked by management not to go up, even though he did have the support of professional comics Steve Brinder and Nikki Payne. Igloo is happy for the experience that he got thus far, and this new event has only instilled him to try harder!
