This was Igloo's biggest audience so far, blowing away the 100 or so people that were at his previous three gigs. As well, it was also the first time he did a show that was directed at kids. Igloo's target audience was the 5-12 year olds, and he kept them pretty interested for the 15 or so minutes he was on stage.
Entering the stage to the music of Richard Strauss' "Also Sprach Zarathustra (2001 Theme)", Igloo came on the stage all high and mighty. He then realized he couldn't get his helmet off! We're sure it was part of the act! The show itself went great, the kids got most of the jokes, and Igloo was in good voice.
Igloo's ad libing was also pretty good, he walked in front of a speaker and when it screeched he said, "It's the aliens!". And when he was handing out Space Rocks (Jelly Beans) at the end of his show, the kids totally surrounded him. Instead of panicking, Igloo yelled, "Security!".
As far as Igloo was concerned, the show went great! It was also great to see his family in the audience too! Igloo wants to thank his parents, Bill & Louise for bringing out Igloo's grandmother Mary, and also Igloo's sister Lisa, and her family, hubby Doug, and kids Stephen, Bradley and Julia. Also thanks to Belinda for bringing out Courtny, Jeanette and Marcus. Extra special thanks to Vicki, Crystal and Paul Totten too!
Igloo would also like to thank Brad Janssen, Cliff Berge and Rick Brown for thier awesome support! Rick, you will get that poster of Igloo on your wall one of these days!
Igloo got a couple of lines in the Monday edition of the Woodstock Sentinel-Review, it read...."Woodstock's Igloo Harras opened with an astronaut act for the children". Rick Brown was quoted as saying "We have great interest from the community and great local talent." Gotta keep the name in the press!
