The area is filled with beautiful landscape. Pictures do not really capture the essence of the place but maybe they will convey some of the visual aspects. |

This is the beaver pond near camp. I walk past it several times every day and like to sit here and read when the weather permits. We took a canoe out on it recently fishing for trout. Didn't catch any but it was nice paddling around. |

A picture of the forest I hike a lot. This is timber company land with mostly Douglas Fir trees around 50-80 years old. |

This is part of the creek that runs off the beaver pond near camp; I listen to it a lot at night. |

Three pictures of Troublesome Creek. This is my favorite place so far. It's up in the Cascades near Mt Index. There is an old growth forest of mostly Western Himlock that have been around longer than the Europeans have been in N. America. The picture to the upper right was taken from where we stopped for lunch on a large rock. |
