This is Ceriagrion
cerinorubellum male. It is
commonly found in all the places with plenty of males and females. The
eyes are green , and the body & the abdominal tip are orange red
in colour. Females are not brightly coloured as the males. At the time of
reproduction , these come in a flock near the ponds for mating. They are seen
through out the year. |

This is Ceriagrion
coromandelianum male. They
are seen amid the vegetation near the paddy fields and Ponds. The
body colour of the male is green, but the abdomen is bright
yellow. They predate on the small insects such as mosquitoes and moths which are
abundantly available in the bushy vegetation. |

is Ceriagrion rubiae male,not
very common, exclusively seen in the vegetation near the paddy fields
and ponds. The thorax is yellow , but the abdomen is deep
orange in colour . The eyes are with light green shade. Females are
not brightly coloured as males. |

This is Copera
marginipes, male. Commonly
seen near the flowing water and small streams. The adult males are black
in colour with stripes of bright yellow on the thorax. White rings are
present at the abdominal joints and a patch of the same on
the tip .
The legs are very atypical with yellow to orange colour The sub
adults are white in colour and gradually blackened when they mature |

This is Pseudagrion
microcephalum, male.They
are seen near
flowing water. Males are sky blue in colour with black patches on the
dorsal surface of the abdomen and the tip. Males are more in number than
females .They start mating very early in the morning and complete before
the bright light comes. Females are with light blue colour, not bright
as males. |

This is Pseudagrion
rubriceps male. Not very common, but
they are seen near the flowing waters and streams. The face of the males
is bright orange in colour, and the dorsal side of thorax is olive
green . Males are plenty in number than the females. Females come
near the water bodies only at the time of reproduction. They are seen
August onwards , till December. |

This one is Libellago
indica,male. They are exclusively
seen near the flowing water and streams. Males are brightly coloured
,black in general, yellow stripes on thorax and abdomen. Both
wings are transparent and light yellow to orange shade on the bases.
Legs are very long ,compared to other damselflies. |

bisignata. male. They are seen only
near the streams in the forests. The males are very
attractive and black in colour, but deep orange on thorax. The
wings are transparent, and black at the tip . |
