I own a 1980 Mirada. I have had the car since high school (1984). It started life as a 318 car but was changed to a 340 in 89. Even had a six pack on it for a couple of years until I started racing and went back to a 4 bbl. Currently has a 496 Stage VI equipped RB engine, 727 trans, and 4.56 gears in an A body 8 3/4. Best time to date is a 10.79 at 122 mph. Enjoy racing the car and it really turns alot of heads.

I've been driving this car since August of 1993, when I bought it for $250. Yes, and it ran too. The body needs some work, and the paint is faded, but even my wife agrees that its very reliable. I've upgraded the suspension with cast iron isolators for the K-frame from Mopar Performance, and KYB shocks all around. I also installed a larger radiator from a Volare wagon with a 318. I've had the front buckets reupholstered, and the dash pad has been recovered. This car is my daily ride, but its also a project car, time and finances permitting. Check it out at our website. This car is accually a volare duster. It had a 225 six I installed a mild 440 with 2 four tunnel ram. I also installed the T-top assy. out of a wrecked Aspen.

My car is a Road Runner super pak with t-tops. When I bought the car it was all original with the 2 barrel, emissions equip. and all. I put an edlebrock 600 cfm 4 barrel and junked the entire emissions system. EVERYTHING GONE! I put headers and a MP purple a MP purple cam with .450/.455 lift 268/272 duration and 50 deg. overlap. Put a B&M shift kit in the 904 and scraped the lean burn for a MP elec. ign. with orange box. I put american racing torque thrust D's 14x7 front and 15x10 rear. I lifted the rear end a few inches for the tires and put on traction bars. I put on line locks and a few other goodies for fun

I SWAP THE ORIGINAL 360 FOR A 400 IN JUST ONE WEEK END AND I NEED NO EXTRA PARTS, EVEN THE RADIATORS FIT WITH OUT A PROBLEM, THE ONLY ADJUST I BEEN MADE IS THE CABLE TO DISTRIBUITOR, NOW MY SUPER ASPEN CUPE NEEDS STABILITY IN REAR AXLE, SO I THINK TO INSTALL THE STABILITY BAR FROM A 3TON DODGE TRUCK

Has been a 5 yr. project. The 360 has had alot work done. Swirl port heads hogged out alot. Holly 750 vac. sec. mopar distributor 284-484 lift cam. And of course headers. Transmisson stock 727 with 2200 stall from 3/4 ton van. The rear is a 9 1/4 from a 1984 diplomat cop car nothing has been to that. Body style volare road runner it is in fair condition. When the 360 meets it's demize i have a 440 that i picked up for a steal $250.00
