Q: "What is a 'three-wheeler', or why not call it a 'trike'?"
A: The Merriam-Webster online dictionary defines "trike" as an altered form of "tricycle", which means "a 3-wheeled vehicle propelled by pedals or a motor". Although this would describe our vehicles, it just doesn't sound right! Also, I consider a "trike" to be a motorcycle with two wheels in the back and one in the front, utilizing some form of (motorcycle style) front fork for steering. If you say "trike" when describing some motorized vehicle, that is normally the image that comes to mind. A "Three-Wheeler" is defined as "any of various vehicles having three wheels". In our case, it is usually a motorcycle with one wheel in the back and two in the front. A variation of a trike can be considered a three-wheeler if the steering is not done using a motorcycle front fork, or if the bodywork completely or mostly encloses the driver/passenger(s).

Q: "Why did you form this club, when there are already other motorcycle clubs that you could be affiliated with?"
A: My reasons for forming this club are: 1. Heck, I just wanted to see if there are others like me out there. 2. There are organized groups of enthusiasts for every other interest, so why not ours? 3. In order that our special interest is more actively and prominently promoted at shows, rallys, or other events, we need to come togther in some organized way. 4. We need to recognize those of us who are already smitten with the "missing-wheel-virus", and encourage the up-and-comers who are starting out. 5. For those of us with the technical expertise, we can help each other figure out the problems we encounter (or solve them before they happen).

Q: "What are the requirements to join?"
A: None, really, other than having an interest in the non-traditional three-wheeler, an urge to do things differently, to think outside the box... well, you get the idea.

Q: "How do I join, and is there a membership fee?"
A: To join, just send me, the Webmaster an e-mail with "Membership" in the subject. Please include your first and last name, city and state, and any other information you wish me to have. I will add you to my list of fellow enthusiasts, and your information (name, city, state, and link to homepage if you have one) will get listed onto the Membership page. There is no membership fee at this time, as I am not out to make any sort of profit, and have not incurred any operating expenses as of yet (other than my free time, which I have precious little of). If, in the future, we as an organization incur some sort of cost (like, for a club tent at Carlisle?), or decide to make t-shirts, stickers, patches, etc. with our logo on it (we are working on it, right, Shep?), then maybe we will have to charge some sort of fee. Until then, nope.
