assocks' Camp
A Canadian reader sent the following message to the Help Desk mailing list.
I have a photo (postcard) with the printed date of 1911 and also imprinted with "Hassock's Camp". I believe it was in Sussex, England but would like more details if possible. Some of the men in the photo are in army uniform. One of the men is my grandfather who was age 22 that summer. More than 8300 free software titles for your Palm OS powered Tungsten, LifeDrive

I advised her that it may be related to the town of Hassocks near Brighton. However, if you are able to provide more information, it would be greatly appreciated. Capitalistroadster 00:31, 1 December 2005 (UTC)

Soda Can
Why is the standard Soda/Beer can 12 fluid ounces?
No special reason; that's just what it happens to be now, but these things often change over time. You may remember that the next larger size (in the US) of soft drinks was a 16 fl. oz. preparation by kids. bottle until it changed to 20 fl. oz. in the 1990s. A company will change the size of their product whenever they think they can make more money that way.
