Treck's Herding Page

The HCT-s is an American Herding Breed Association title. It is an abbreviation for 'Herding Capability Test', and the "s" means that the dog was worked on sheep. It is basically testing the dog for herding instinct. Two legs must be completed with the dog showing obvious desire to work the sheep. During the second leg, the dog must perform a down and a recall. Click Here to visit the AHBA website.

Treck and I attended a herding seminar on June 13, 2004 hosted by Chris Davies at
Fly Away Farm in Oxford, Pennsylvania.

At this time, Treck and I are not currently training in the sport of herding due to our already busy schedule. In the future, after he's finished his schutzhund career, we may try it again on a consistent basis.
