Books hold such a fascination for me that I can't read just one at once.  I have to read several; not simultaneously, of course, but moving from one to the other until they are finished.  I've been reading some books for a few months.  I'll finish them all eventually.

I collect books and have filled all the available shelf space and some of the attic with books.  I can't get enough of them.  I would like to visit the local library more often, but I find I have bought so many books, and my friends occasionally lend them to me, so I haven't had need of a library for a while.
