Life |
Where I'm at I live in the city of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. As far as capitals go, Helsinki is rather small, with a population of only 500,000 people. Here you can see my street, and a couple of the nearby landmarks. Virtual Helsinki provides a good view of the city from different perspectives. |

Hobbies Singing: I pop down to the local karaoke bar when I get the chance. I used to be the lead singer of The Bomb Shelter Boys Featuring The Wireless Angels, but unfortunately we broke up. If you have a band and need a singer, I'm willing to audition. Contact me! Writing: I am starting to put together some literary representation of my experiences abroad. That's a fancy way to say "I'm writing about my life in Finland". They will not appear on these pages, but I may provide some short extracts later. Reading: Reading fills all my spare moments. I am addicted to books like a drug. Here you can see a list of some books I've read recently. Learning languages: I live in Finland, where the two official languages are Finnish and Swedish. This year I've decided to really train myself properly in them, so it takes a bit of time. Loafing: Occasionally I catch a TV show when I have the time. Have a look at what I like to watch. Keeping fit: I do freestanding exercises every morning when I get up and go running once a day. I stretch whenever watching TV. |
