Meet Samson

Fun Facts:

Sam is just like a dog, he greets everyone at the door with a meow.  He won't leave you alone until you greet HIM back!

I adopted Samson from the St Joe County Humane Society (Indiana) in March of 2004.  He was approx a year old at that time.

If you have read my website, you know I also have a rabbit.  Sam and Cosmo get along pretty well. Cosmo LOVES Sam and follows behind him closely whenever he is out free with his buddy.  They even lay down next to each other when they take a break.

He is very friendly and VERY vocal, as I type this,  he is meowing at me and just jumped onto me!  He can be a bit overbearing, but it is just because he loves me (and everyone else) so much

Dislikes:

- little toy mice - his 'daddy' Gary - taking naps next to me on the couch or ON Gary - "talking" to people -visitors, as long as they aren't wearing cowboy hats or kids

- dogs, esp. if they come into HIS house, but they end up being afraid of him!  See story below - not being paid attention to - water, of course -anyone under age 20

Sam follows me EVERYWHERE, like I said, he is just like a dog!

Lucy came over one day and Sam met her at the door  with a hiss.  Poor Lucy was afraid to death of Sam the rest of the time here.  She actually hid in the corner and shook and would not look at Sam.  Sam wanted to play and 'bopped' Lucy on the head and that scared poor Lucy even more.  So now I have a rabbit that rules over the cat and a cat that rules over a dog, and they all rule over me!  What is going on here? More proof Sam doesn't like dogs: my friend Jamie brought over her mini Aus. Shepard, Mya.  She kept going up to Sam.  Finally Sam had enough and smacked her with both of his paws across her head.  Needless to say Mya decided Sam was serious and went to her mom for safety.
