J³ L 1-16. Satan and Adams sons: Cain and Able.
M 17-24. Cain's son: Enoch.
L 25. Adam's son: Seth.
M Seth's son: Enos.
1: And Adam knew his wife; and she concieved and bare Cain (=acquisition, possesion), and said, "I have gotten a man from the LORD (Yahaveh)." ( Heb. 'ish. Lit. "a man, even Yahaveh R.V. "with the help of", in italics. Heb. 'ish 'eth Yahaveh. Cp. Luke 2:11.)
2: And she again bare his brother Abel
(=continued in labor. They were paternal twins. Cain being of Satan's seed, Abel of Adam's seed. Two seperate bags of water. two seperate conceptions. See 1 Chron.2:55, the Kenites=the sons of Cain, came thru the flood. The name Abel = breath, vapor, transitoriness, probably beacause of the shortness of his life). And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.
3: And at the end of days it came to pass (the time and place and offering probably appointed), that Cain brought the fruit of the ground (the product of the curse. What did Cain plant?-tares, symbolic of his [Satan's] own family) offering to Yahaveh. (A sacrifice to Yahaveh. Most religious, but his own "way"; but not the first fruits as Abel)
4: And Abel, he also brought by faith of the firstlings and the fattest ones too. And the LORD (Yahaveh) (as Covenant God, not Elohim, the Creator) had respect to Abel and his offering: (by accepting it by fire Divinely
sent, Lev.9:24. Judg.6:21. 1 Kings 18:38. 1 Chron.21:26. 2 Chron.7:1; and cp. Ps.20:3, and Heb.11:4.)
5: But Cain and his offering He had no respect. And Cain as very wroth, and hIs countenance fell.
6: And the LORD (Yehovah) said to Cain, "Why are you wroth? and why is your countenance fallen? (Question asked not for information or for an answer)
7: If you do well (if you were really honest), shall you not be accepted? and if you do not well, at the entrance a male is lying, a sin offering. And to you is his desire (see Matt.13:35-43), and you shall rule over him."
8: And Cain said to Abel his brother, "Let us go into the field:" and it came to pass, when they were in the field,
that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
("Religion" is and ever has been the greatest cause of blood-shedding. Cp.3:15 where the war is on. See Matt.23:33-35, John 8:44.)
9: And the LORD (Yehovah) said to Cain, "Where is Able your brother?" And he said, "I know not: am I my brother's keeper?" (He knew, he was lying to God.)
10: And He said, "What have you done? the voice of your brother's blood cries to me from the ground. (Heb. bloods, denoting his posterity, see Matt.23:35.)
11: And now you are cursed from the earth (suggests more than the ground) which has opened her mouth to recieve your brother's blood from your hand; (Heb. idiom for murder.)
12: When you till the ground, it shall not henceforth yield to you her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shall you be in the earth." (Even to this day this is true of them. They became builders of cities.)
13: And Cain said to the LORD (Yahaveh), "Is my iniquity too great to be forgiven?
14: Behold, You have driven me out this day from the face of the ground; and from Your face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that anyone that finds me (where did these come from? Answer: the 6th day CREATION, see 1:27. Adam and Eve were not first, they were FORMED on the 8th day.) shall slay me."
15: And the LORD (Yahaveh) said to him, "Not so, whosoever slays Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold." And the LORD (Yahaveh) set a mark upon Cain, lest any man finding him should kill him. (The beginning of the mark of the "Beast". See Rev.13:18.)
16: And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD (Yahaveh) (i.e. Tabernacle placed by God for His worship, where offerings were brought), and dwelt in the land of Nod (=the land of Nomads. People of the 6th day Creation), on the east of Eden. (the Orient-Asia)
17: And Cain knew his wife (she was from the sixth day creation. See 1:27); and she concieved, and bare Enoch (Not the same Enoch of 5:18. The word word means dedicated or teaching [what? evil?]. See v.25. One positive , one negative. War between 2 diffrent seeds): and he (i.e Cain) built a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.
18: And to Enoch was born Irad (=city of witness, fleet): and Irad begat Mehujael (=smitten of God): and Mehujael begat Methusael (=man of God); and Methusael begat Lamech. (=powerful, 7th from Adam in Cain's line. Sounds same as Adams genealogy. Be carefull. God is trying to warn you that Satann and his seed are great pretenders. Satan is deceptive. See v.25)
19: And Lamech took to him two wives (first polygamist): the name of one was Adah (=ornament, beauty), and the name of the other was Zillah. (=shade)
20: And Adah bare Jabel (=flowing. Prime root of the flood of lies): he was the father of such that dwell in tents, and of such that have cattle.
21: And his brother's name was Jubal (=joyful sound): he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ. (The well-known "Pan's pipe")
22: And Zillah, she also bare Tubal-cain (=flowing from Cain, flood comming. Come into my web of lies. Notice here we have the 3 Baal brothers, symbolic of opposite of the Holy Trinity), an instructor of every artificer in brass and iron (turns into idols): and the sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah. (=pleasant)
23: And Lamech said to his wife, "Adah and Zillah, hear my voice; you wives of Lamech, listen to my speech (Refers to 3:17. Lamech was in greater danger than Adam. Adam had only one wife, Lamech had two); for I can kill a man for wounding me, and a young man for hurting me. (bragging about murdering these. Serving God? No way!)
24: If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech shall be avenged seventy and sevenfold."
25: And Adam kew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth (=substituted, appointed, compensation), "For God (Elohim)", said she, "has appointed me another son instead (=in the stead of) of Abel, whom Cain slew."
26: And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos (=frail, incurable): then began men to call on the name of the Lord (Yahaveh). (=began to call [=Heb. cahal-verb=to bore, to wound, to profane, to drive a wedge between] upon their gods by the name of Yahaveh, or "began profanely to call upon the name of Yahaveh. Enos, though son of Seth, is included here because he went in "the way of Cain". They began to mix with the fallen angels. Turning to other ways of belief because of Cains offspring. This is what Enoch [of Adam's genealogy] prophesied against.)

3: And Adam (with the article, 8th day) lived 130 years, and begat a son in his own likeness (Adam created in Elohim's likeness, all his descendants begotten in Adam's likeness, after his Fall), after his image; and called his name Seth:
4: And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were 800 years: and he begat sons and daughters. (If Adam begat after Seth, so doubtless others after Cain and Abel)
5: And all the days of that Adam lived were 930 years and he died. (A day with the Lord is 1,000 years, so man didn't quite live a full day beacuse of their fallen nature)

6: And Seth lived 105 years and begat Enos.
7: And Seth lived after he begat Enos 807 years, and he begat sons and daughters. (Longevity starts to decreace because of man's pollution, toxins & poisons, plus pulling away from God)

18: And Jared lived 162 years, and begat Enoch (=dedicated, teaching. A new way of thinking. Not the same one as in Cain's genealogy. Do you see the difference?):
19: And Jared lived after he begat Enoch 800 years, and begat sons and daughters:
20: And all the days of Jared were 962 years: and he died.
21: And Enoch lived 75 years and begat Methuselah (=when he is dead it shall be sent. I.e. the Deluge).
22: And Enoch walked with God (Elohim) after he begat Methuselah 300 years (=walked to and fro, journeyed with Him; why not literally as with Adam before the Fall? Enoch was a prophet and he was a good preacher. Don't think people weren't warned before the Flood came. He told them what was happening between Cain [serpent, Satans seed] and the children of God. Satan taught his seed who the Messiah would come through and he tried to stop it with the fallen angels), and begat sons and daughters.
23: And all the days of Enoch were 365 years. (notice same as days in a year).
3017 B.C.
24: And Enoch walked with God (Elohim): and he was not for Elohm took him. (i.e. without dying, the 7th from Adam. He prophesied by "faith". Therefore Divinely instructed. Satan taught his seed who Messiah would come thru and tred to stop it with the fallen angels)

30: And Lamech lived after he begat Noah 595 years, and begat sons and daughters.
31: And all the days of Lamech were 777 years (777=a divine number), and he died.
2446 B.C.
32: And Noah was 500 years old (Why so long before he had offspring? It took him that long to find a wife that was pure [pureness of genealogy] and hadn't been one mixed with the fallen angels): and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth (inverse order of birth).
It is only by the Divine specific act of creation that any created being can be called "a son of God."
For that which is "born of flesh is flesh."
God is spirit, and that which is "born of the Spirit is spirit" (John 3:6).
Hense Adam is called "a son of God" in Luke 3:38. Those "in Christ" having "the new nature" which is by the direct creation of God (2 Cor.5:17, Eph.2:10) can be, and are called "sons of God" (John 1:3. Rom.8:14,15. John3:1).
This is why angels are called "sons of God" in every other place where the expession is used in the Old Testament. Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7. Ps.29:1; 89:6. Dan.3:25 (no art.). We have no authority or right to take the expression in Gen.6:2,4 in any other sense.
Moreover, in Gen.6:2 the Septuagint (the Greek translation of the O.T) renders it "angels".
Angels are called "spirits" (Ps. 104:4. Heb.1:7,14) for spirits are created by God.
That there was a fall of the angels is certain from Jude 6.
The nature of their fall is clearly stated in the same verse. They left their own (oiketerion= habitation). This word occurs only in 2 Cor.5:2 and Jude 6, where it is used of the spiritual (or resurection ) body.
The nature of their sin is stated to be "in like manner" to that of the subsequent sins of Sodom and Gommorrha, Jude 7.
The time of their fall is given as having taken place "in the days of Noah" (1 Pet.3:20. 2 Pet.2:7), though there is a prior fall which caused the end of "the world that then was" (the first earth & heaven age) Gen.1:1,2. 2 Pet.3:6.
For this sin they are "reserved to judgment", 2 Pet.2:4, and are "in prison" (1 Pet.3:19).
Their progeny (hybrids), called Nephilim (translated "giants) were monsters of iniquty; and being superhuman in size and character, had to be destroyed. This was the one and only object of the Flood.
Only Noah and his family had preserved their pedigree pure from Adam (see Gen.6:9). All the rest had become "corrupt" (shachath) destroyed (as Adamites). The only remedy was to destroy it (de facto), as it had become destroyed (de jure). (It is the same word in v.17 as in vv.11,12).
This irruption of fallen angels was Satan's first attempt to prevent the coming of the Seed of the Woman foretold in Gen.3:15. If this could be accomplished, God's Word would have failed, and his own doom would be averted.
As soon as it was made known that the Seed of the woman was to come through Abraham, there was another irruption, as recorded in Gen.6:4, "and also after that" (i.e. after the days of Noah, more than 500 years after the first irruption). The aim of the enemy was to occupy Canaan in advance of Abraham, and so the contest its occupation by his seed. For when Abraham enterd Canaan, we read (Gen.12:6) "the Canaanite was then (i.e. already) in the land."
In the same chapter (Gen.12:10-20) we see Satan's next attempt to interfere with Abraham's seed, and frustrate the purpose of God that it should be in "Isaac". This attempt was repeated in 20:1-18.
This great conflict may be seen throughout the Bible, and it forms a great and important subject of Biblical study. In each case the human instrument had his own personal interest to serve, while Satan had his own great object in view. Hense God had, in each case, to interfere and avert the evil and danger, of which His servants and people were wholly ignorant (even to this day people are ignorant of how Satan works). The following assaults of the great Enemy stand out prominantly.
The destruction of the chosen family by famine. Gen.50:20.
The destuction of the male line in Israel, Ex.1:10,16, &c. cp. Ex.2:5. Heb.11:23.
The destuction of the whole nation in Pharaoh's pursuit, Ex.14.
After David's line was singled out (2 Sam.7), that was the next selected assault. Satan's first aasault was in the union of Jehoram and Athaliah by Jehoshaphat, notwithstanding 2 Chron.17:1. Jehoram killed off all his brothers (2 Chron.21:4).
The Arabians slew all his children, except Ahaziah (2 Chron.21:4).
When Ahaziah died, Athalial killed "all the seed royal" (2 Chron.22:10). The babe Joash alone was rescued; and, for six years, the faithfulness of Jehovah's word was at stake (2 Chron.23:3).
Hezekiah was childless, when a double assault was made by the king of Assyria and the king of Terrors (Isa.36:1; 38:1). God's faithfulness was appealed to and relied on (Ps.136).
In the Captivity, Hanan was used to attempt the destruction of the whole nation (Est.3:6,12,13. cp.6:1).
Joseph's fear was worked on (Matt.1:18-20). Notwithstanding the fact that he was "a just man", and kept the Law, and he did not wish to have Mary stoned to death (Deut.24:1); hense Joseph determined to divorse her. But God intervened; "Fear not".
Herod sought the young childs life (Matt.2).
At the temptation, "Cast Yourself down" was Satan's temptation.
At Nazareth, again (Luke 4), there was another attempt to cast Him down and destroy Him.
The two storms on the Lake were other attempts.
At length the cross was reached, and the sepulchre closed; the watch set; and the stone sealed. But "God raised Him from the dead." And now, like another Joash, He is seated and expecting (Heb.10:12,13), hidden in the house of God on high; And the members of "the one body" are hidden there "in Him" (Col.3:1-3), like another Jehoshaba; and going forth to witness of His coming, like another Jehoiada (2 Chron.23:3).
The irruption of "the fallen angels" ("sons of God") was the first attempt; and was directed against the whole human race.
When Abraham was called, then he and his seed were attacked.
When David was enthroned, the royal seed was assailed.
And when "the Seed of the woman" Himself came, then the storm burst upon Him.
3: And the Lord (Yahaveh) said, My Spirit shall not always remain in the man Adam, for that the man Adam also as well as others is flesh (if taken as a verb = in their erring. Adam had become like the others): Yet Adams days shall be 120 years." (These are generally taken as meaning 120 years before the Flood. But this mistake has been made by not observing that the word for "man" in Gen. 6:1,2 is in the singular and means the MAN ADAM. The word "also" clearly refers to him. It has no meaning if "men" be read in the Plural. It means, and can mean, only that Adam himself, "also", as well as the rest of mankind, had "corrupted his way". If "men" be the meaning, then it may well be asked, who are the othes indicated by the word "also"? In Gen.2:17, the Lord God had declared that Adam should die. Here in Gen.6, it was made more clear that though he had lived 810 years he should surely die; and that his breath, or spirit of life from God, should not forver remain in him [i.e. the flesh body]. This fixes the Chronology of v.3, and shows that long before that time, 810 A.M., and even before Enoch, this irruption of the fallen angels had taken place. This was the cause of all the "ungodliness" against which the prophecy of Enoch was directed in Jude 14, and which ultimately brought on the fulfillment of his prophecy in the Judgement of the Flood.)
3194 B.C.
4: And there were also giants in the earth in the days of Noah; and after their destruction by the Flood, as well as before it, when angels came into the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old (lived in the 1st earth age, we were all in spiritual bodies then. These [fallen angels] have full of knowledge of what happened and knew ever trick in the book and took advantage of women. So it will be in the end times. This is why women must wear the veil of Christ. TRUTH! See Matt.24. 1 Cor.11:10), men of renown (Heb. the men of name. The "heros" of Greek mythology. The remains of primitive truth, corrupted in transmission).
The progeny of the fallen angels (the Nephilim) with the daughters of Adam are called gibbor. What these beings are can only be gathered from Scripture. They were evidently great in size, as well as great in wickedness. They were super-human, abnormal beings; and their destuction was necessary for the preservation of the human race, and for the faithfulness of Jehovah's Word (Gen.3:15).
This is why the Flood was brought "upon the world of the ungodly" (2 Pet.2:5) as prophesied by Enoch (Jude 14).
But we read of the giants again in Num.13:33; "there we saw the Nephilim". How, it may be asked, could this be, if they were all destroyed in the Flood? The answer is contained in Gen.6:4 where we read: "There were giants in those days (i.e. in the days of Noah): and also after that, when the sons of God came into the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became the mighty men (Heb. gibbor, the heroes) which were of old, men of renown" (lit. men of name, i.e. who got a name and were renown for their ungodlyness.).
So that "after that", i.e., after the Flood, there was a second irruption of the fallen angels, evidently smaller in number and more in a limited area, for they were for the most part confined to Canaan, and were in fact known as "the nation of Canaan." It was for the destuction of these, that the sword of Israel was necessary, as the Flood had been before.
As to the date of the second irruption, it was evidently soon after it became known that the Seed was to come through Abraham; for when he came out from Haran (Gen.12:6) and entered Canaan, the significant fact is stated: "The Canaanite was then (i.e. already) in the land." And in Gen.14:5 they were already known as "Rephaim" and "Enim," and had established themselves at Ashteroth Karnaim and Shaveh Kiriathaim.
In ch.15:18-21 they were enumerated and named among Canaanite Peoples: "Kenites (the sons of Cain), and the Kenizzites, and the Kadonites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaim, and the Amorites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites" (Gen.15:19-21: cp. Ex.3:8,17; 23:23. Deut.7; 20:17. Josh.12:8).
These were to be cut off, and driven out, and utterly destroyed (Deut.20:17. Josh.3:10). But Israel failed to do this (Josh.13:13; 15:63; 16:10; 17:18. Judg.1:19,20,30-36; 2:1-5; 3:1-7); and we know not how many got away to the other countries to escape the general destuction.
If this were recognized it would go far to solve many problems connected with Anthropology.
As to their names, they are called Anakim, from Anak which came of the Nephilim (Num.13:23) and Raphaim, from Rapha, another notable one among them.
From Deut.2:10, they were known by some a Enims, and Horim, and Zamzummim (v.20,21) and Avim,&c.
As Rephaim they were well known, and are often mentioned; but, unfortunately, instead of this proper name, being preserved, it is variously translated as "dead", "deceased", or "giants." These Rephaim are to have no resurection. This fact is stated in Isa.26:14 (where the proper name is rendered "deseased" and v.19, where it is rendered "the dead".).
It is rendered "dead" 7 times (Job 26:5. Ps.88:10. Prov.2:18; 9:18; 21:16. Isa.14:8; 26:19).
It is retained as a proper name "Rephaim" 10 times. Gen.14:5; 15:20. Josh12:15. 2 Sam.5:18,22; 23:13. 1 Chron.11:15; 14:9; 20:4. Isa.17:5.
In all other places it is rendered "giants", Gen.6:4, Num.23:23, where it is Nephilim; and Job 16:14, where it is gibbor.
By reading all these passages the Bible student may know all that can be known about these beings.
It is certain that the second irruption took place before Gen.14, for there were Rephaim mixed up with the five nations of peoples, which include Sodom and Gomorrah, and were defeated by the four kings under Chedorlaomer. Their principal locallity was evidently "Ashtaroth Karnaim"; while the Enim were in the plain of Kiriathaim (Gen.14:5).
Anak was a noted descendant of the Nephilim; and Rapha was another, giving their names respectively to different clans, Anak's father was Arba, the original builder of Hebron (Gen. 35:27. Josh.15:13; 21:11) and this Palestine branch of the Anakim was not called Arbahim after him, but Anakim after Anak. They were great, mighty and tall (Deut.2:10,11,21,22,23; 9:2), evedently inspiring the ten spies with geat fear (Num.13:33). Og king of Bashan is described in Deut.3:11.
Their stength is seen in "the giant cities of Bashan" today; and we know not how far they may have been utilized by Egypt in the constuction of buildings, which is still an unsolved problem.
Arba was rebuilt by the Khabiri or confederates seven years before Zoan was built by the Egyptian Pharaoh's of the Nineteenth Dynasty. See Num.13:22.
If these offspring of the Nephilim, and their branch of Rephaim, were associated with Egypt, we have an explanation of the problem which for ages perplexed all engineers, as to how these huge stones and monuments were brought together. Why not in Egypt as well as in "the giant cities of Bashan" which exist, as such, to this day?
Moreover, we have in these mighty men, the "men of renown" the explanations of the origin of the Greek mythology. That mythology was no mere invention of the human brain, but it grew out of traditions, memories, and legends of the doings of that mighty race of beings; and was gradually evolved out of the "heroes" of Gen.6:4. The fact that they were super-natual in their origin formed an easy step to their being regarded as the demi-gods of the Greeks.
Thus the Babylonian "Creation Tablets", the Egyptian "Book of the dead", the Greek mythology, and heathen Cosmogonies, which by some are set on an equality with Scripture, or by others adduced in support of it, are all the corrupton and perversion of primitive truths, distorted in proportion as their origin was forgotten, and their memories faded away.
5: And God (Elohim) saw that the lewdness, and moral depravity of man was multiplied (it didn't just begin here) in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (Night & day)
6: And it repented the Lord (Yahaveh) (Fig. of Speech =ascribing something to God that belongs to human and rational beings, irrational creatures or, inanamate things) that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at his heart. (He didn't want to do it but there was no other way. Before this souls weren't in the flesh. See Jer.4:22-26.)
7: And the Lord (Yahaveh) said, "I will wipe off, blot out man (i.e. flesh, this is yet to be fulfilled) whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creaping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repents Me that I have made them."
8: But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord (Yehovah).
