| I was born and raised on a ranch\farm in Western Oklahoma, daughter of a school teacher and a rancher. I grew up among rattlesnakes, cows, horses, cotton and wheat, and broke a steer to ride at a young age, as the family only had one horse. Since then I have lived in Austrailia, Colombia, Kuala Lumpur, Norway, and taught my first year in Kuwait City, Kuwait. I am a self taught photographer who fell in love with New Mexico at the age of twelve, and have never lost the fascination I felt that day, at a young age, when I saw the "oldest house in the United States", in Santa Fe. I have lived and taught both language arts and photography on the Navajo Reservation, a federal juvenile prison, and am now teaching evening school in Albuquerque. Photography is my passion, along with horse racing and teaching. My favorite thing to do is to take "out of town" folks on a photo tour of this incredible state, and addict them so thoroughly that they always will return to the Land of Enchantment. | ||||||||||
