Jordan on Z100 NY Dec. 4, 2002

Here's a summary of Jordan on Z100, I just paraphrased the main points:

Jordan and a guy named Dave to drive all the way to NY from Miami because he lost his ID at the club, and the airlines wouldn't let him on without his ID. Jordan even showed them articles from the newspaper and his CD.

DJ: What are you doing in NY

Jordan: Sleeping, and doing articles for Details and Cosmo girl magazines

Caller Marisa: What's it like being a solo artist?

Jordan: It's cool, I get to call all the shots, he's happy

Caller Heidi: Would you play the piano like in the Step by Step documentary?

Jordan: in live performance he will play piano, there's some songs on the album he can play the piano for.

(Plays "Tender Love")

DJ Why did you do 2 remakes as singles and have a new all original CD coming out in Feb.?

Jordan: Record label wanted to wait until the end of spring of 2003 to put the single out, and since so maybe people were hitting the website, he wanted to get some music out sooner, and he found a breach in his contract so he could get out, and he did the remakes since writing takes a while

DJ: did you have to buy Jordanknight.com from someone else?

Jordan: No, most record companies own your domain name, they know that's the future, I couldn't deal with that.

DJ: People on average stay on JordanKnight.com for 30 minutes, it's a "sticky" website

Jordan: I stop by sometimes and communicate with the fans, and it's a good meeting place for fans

Marla: Been a fan since 86, talks about how New Kids helped her stay in school

Jordan: When we started we just wanted to get some chicks, but we got a lot of letters later on saying we helped a lot of people, now it's a driving force for me.

DJ: Is there a theme to the CD?

Jordan: There's no theme, there's a song called "On the Inside" and it talks about friendship and being there for people even when they're not within your reach.

DJ: Jennifer Lopez exposes some personal stuff about herself in her music

Jordan: Yea it's easier to do through songs

Amy: Review of song, I loved the song, and you have an amazing voice

Jordan: Thank you

Gia: Are you going to tour?

Jordan: Yea, definitely, I love performing, I see myself as an entertainer

Daphne: Are you doing a duet?

Jordan: I have a song open, I'll probably audition people to do it

Michelle: Will you get back together with the New Kids?

Jordan: No, they've been calling me, I just hold off their phone calls.

DJ: Do you still talk to those guys

Jordan: Joe and Donnie I hang out with a lot, and of course my brother, Danny lives in Miami, but I didn't get in touch with him when I was there

DJ: What's the name of your CD

Jordan: I don't know yet

DJ: Will you do a cameo on Boomtown and Boston Public?

Jordan: I've gotten offers to do TV, but I've turned them down, I'd rather do music

DJ: We're not going to see you on "Friends"?

Jordan: I'd do Friends, Hey Friends call me
