I hugged Dr. Kerry for all she was worth. What’s this for spoilsport? That’s for giving my mommy back to me, and to thank you for letting my baby sister be my guardian angel. Thank you she said, but you know, your mommy isn’t going to be the same mommy for a while. She is going to be sad, and what I want you to do is just let her be sad. Its going to take some time before she is the same old mommy again. Will you do that for me? I sure will. And by the way, its ok for you to be sad too spoilsport. If you see your mommy crying and you want to cry with her, go right ahead. I will Dr. Kerry, but why should we cry when our baby is an angel now? That is a good question and you should ask that to your mommy soon. Not today, or maybe not even tomorrow, but soon. Now how about I go get your daddy and the three of you go get the doctor ordered popsicles I prescribed for you. OK Dr. Kerry. Thanks again. You’re welcome spoilsport.
After we went and got our doctor prescribed popsicles, mine was cherry flavored, we went back up to mommy’s room and I climbed back into bed with mommy. I must have been really tired, because pretty soon I was asleep in my mommy’s arms. A short while later, I was woken up by this dinging sound that said that visiting hours were now over and we had to leave the hospital. I didn’t want to leave, I wanted to stay in mommy’s arms all night long, just to be sure she was safe. But she said she needed someone to watch over daddy while she stayed in the hospital and she asked me if I could do it. I told her it would be a difficult task, but one I could handle. I asked her when she was coming home and she said she would be home in 3 days. Good, cause I hate hospitals, especially when you’re in them mommy. Me too she said, Me too.
We got to eat McDonalds on the way home from the hospital. And I got to thinking about my baby again. I wondered if she was happy and if she had made any angel friends. I figured she must be because I hadn’t gotten into any trouble today. When we got home I asked daddy if he could give me some money so that Regina and I could go shopping for mommy tomorrow. What for he said. I can’t tell you, it’s a surprise. Ok, but I’ll give Regina the money to hold on to for you. Ok daddy thanks. I love you daddy, and gave him the biggest hug I could muster, but when I did I could feel tears coming down his cheeks. Why are you sad daddy? Its nothing princess. Dr., Kerry said that it was ok to feel sad and to cry daddy. I’ll remember that he said, and hugged me even tighter. Does this mean I get to sleep in your bed again tonight? Sure why not. Why don’t we let JJ sleep there too and have a slumber party? COOL. So that’s what we did we got into our pajamas, made popcorn, and laid in mommy and daddy’s bed watching movies all night long. Or at least part of the night. Cause I don’t remember what happened to Beauty in Beauty and the Beast when I woke up the next morning.
The next day Daddy said that he had to go into the office, but he had left money for me to go shopping with Regina. I told him thank you, and that he wouldn’t be disappointed in what I was going to get mommy. He said he could never be disappointed in me no matter what I did. After breakfast, Regina, JJ and I went up to the nursery, and we took down everything that we had put up in the room. I had decided, and Regina agreed, to turn it into an office for mommy. We went down to the hardware store and got some paints to paint the room. Then we went and bought some picture frames, and another picture for the room. Mommy already had her desk and stuff, so we didn’t need to buy that. I also had Regina stop by Teddy Town USA, so that I could pick up something that I needed, and when Regina saw what I had bought, she gave me a big hug and said how proud she was of me. We went back home and worked hard the rest of the day, and when daddy got home, we told him of our plan. He said that he thought it was an excellent idea, and that he couldn’t be more prouder of me. Then he said that we could go visit mommy again.
