Part 1
I’m sitting here listening to a CD that my mommy got me, The group is called ABBA.  She said that since I was getting to be Miss Independent that I should at least have the right music to listen too.  Its good, I like it.  Actually what I am listening to is the CD from the musical Mamma Mia!   We went and saw the show last night.  It was pretty COOL and I just have to tell you about it.  The other day Daddy came home and told Mommy that he had a proposition for her.  Regina happened to be bringing mommy a cup of tea and she said “At this hour Mr. H?”  Mommy just looked at Daddy and started giggling.  “Not that kind of proposition, but who knows if she says yes, then we’ll see”.  “Jonathan” mommy said.  Daddy told mommy that he had to go to NY for some business and I thought you and the kids would like to go along with me.  “Darling I think that’s wonderful.  When do we leave?”  “Well the meeting is Friday morning, so how about we take the Jet out Thursday morning after JL gets out of kindergarten?  That way it will give you and the kids some time to get settled.  My meeting is on Friday which leaves you and the kids on your own.  I’ll join you for diner Friday night.  Then maybe take in a show Saturday, and fly back here Sunday so that JL can go back to kindergarten on Monday. You could probably even call you dad up to spend the weekend with us.”  “But Jonathan JL will be missing a school day.”  “Darling, its only for one day, she’s not going to be corrupted for missing one day.”  “I guess your right, I’ll go call Pa right away and see if he can join us.”  “Terrific” daddy said.  “Now how about the other proposition?” “Jonathan” you’re incorrigible and kissed him.  You know I don’t think daddy ever gets tired of kissing my mommy or mommy kissing him for that fact.  Me, I’m not kissing a boy until I’m at least 50.  YUCK!
I was so excited.  I couldn’t wait to go to kindergarten the next day and tell Lizzie and Jordyn.  Lizzie was excited for me, she said the she had gone there before and saw a show with her mommy.  She said that I would have the best time ever.  Jordyn wasn’t so sure.  She said that there are bums that live in NY and take your money.  They ain’t no good.  You had better be careful she said.  Besides, who is going to help me get back at Amy this weekend?  Don’t worry I told her, we would do that when I got back. Good she said, cause she didn’t want to face that terror of a sister by herself.
So on Thursday when I we were in music class, Daddy came to the door and got me.  Guess what he got to hear Miss McEntire sing.  Her first name is Reba.  I found that out from another friend of mine at school named Landon.  He’s a boy.  He lets me play with his trucks when we use them to move the doll furniture from one house to the other. All I do is have to ask him, and smile at him, and he’ll do whatever I ask him.  Its too easy.  I wonder if all boys are like that, I’ll have to ask mommy.  We went out to the Bentley and drove out to the airport, where we me mommy, JJ, and Regina.  Regina is going too to help mommy take care of us.  Then we got into the Hart jet and took off for NY. I don’t remember much of the trip cause I think I fell asleep.  But before I did I asked mommy if all boys were like that and she said yes.  I thought so.  All mommy has to do is smile at daddy and he pretty much does what she asks him. Go figure.
When we were just outside of NY mommy woke me up and had me look at the Statue of Liberty and the space where the Twin Towers used to stand.  That was pretty sad, cause I got to see what it looked like before they collapsed thanks to mommy’s pictures, and it just didn’t feel right knowing that they were not there anymore.  We landed the plane shortly after that then got into a real NY taxicab.  Wait til I tell Jordyn….she’ll freak!  Daddy told the man to take us to the Marriott Marquis hotel.  Its right in the middle of Times Square. You know the place where they drop the ball at Midnight on New Years Eve.  Just think to be standing in the place where that happens.  Its pretty cool if you ask me.  Daddy got us this big suite for us to share.  Its actually 2 hotel rooms put together to make 1 big one.  Talk about cool.  The bedroom where JJ, Regina and I will be sleeping is over to the left, and mommy and daddy’s room is over to the right.  Daddy looked at me and said what do you think Princess.  I think its cool daddy.  Oh yeah, want to see something even better?  YES…..He took my hand and led me over to the windows, and then he opened the window, which wasn’t a window at all but a door that led out onto the balcony.  Check this out then.  Safe in my daddy’s arms I looked over the balcony.  You can see EVERYTHING from up here.  We must be a gazillion feet up.  “Not quite” daddy said, “but we are up at the top.  You could do some serious damage with a water balloon don’t you think JL”. “Jonathan Hart.  Don’t you START incouraging your child with those ideas.  I will not have the police come up here and tell me that my child is under arrest for throwing water balloons off of the Mariot Marquis hotel.  Do you understand me.”  “Yes Dear.” Daddy said then he whispered to me ‘it still would be kinda fun wouldn’t it.”  I just nodded not wanting to get into trouble with mommy.  Yep, Jordyn and I could do some serious damage from up here.  I tell you what daddy said, I have to call the office and tell them that I have arrived, but after that we’ll grab something to eat, and then I have a special surprise for you.  COOL daddy I love surprises.  Why don’t you go help Regina unpack princess.  Ok Daddy, and off I went to help Regina unpack.
When I came back daddy had gotten off the phone with his office, and said, “Anybody hungry?”  YOU BET.  Ok then, we had better get going.  But right before we were to leave, there was a knock at the door.  Just a minute mommy said.  She went to open the door, and there was papa.  Jennifer, Jonathan.  How are you?  Were fine.  PAPA!  And where is that precious granddaughter at?  Right here papa, and I ran into his arms.  OOOOoooo….that feels so good.  Now how about a kiss too? Sure thing I said giving him a kiss on the cheek.  Stephen, when do you get in.  Just a few minutes ago.  They told me that you had already checked in, so I thought I would check in with you, and see my precious girls.  Do you have plans for tonight Pa?  Unfortunately dear, I do. I’m having diner with an old friend of mine from the O.S.S. and then tomorrow I’m meeting with Constantine Wainright, you know, catch up on old business and to make sure there are no loose ends floating out there.  BUT I am free tomorrow night, and I was wondering if You, Jonathan and Jessica were free tomorrow night.  A young lady from the museum gave me 4 tickets to a musical for tomorrow night, and I thought that I would escort my favorite granddaughter to it.  You and Jonathan can come along too if you would like.  Pa that’s wonderful.  What do say Jonathan? An evening out with just the 4 of us?  Sounds good to me.  What musical is it Pa?  Well, its probably something I would never go to, but I remember you listening to them when you were in college, so I figured why not?  The musical is called Mamma Mia.  It by a group called Appa? Alla? Blast it what is the name of that group again?  I think its called ABBA pa.  That’s it ABBA.  The show starts at 7-tomorrow night, so why do I meet you three tomorrow night at 6:30 and we can walk to the theater.  That sounds wonderful pa.  So young lady do you think?  I think I can’t wait until tomorrow night papa.  Well then its settled I’m off to diner.  I will see you tomorrow night at 6:30 then.  Goodnight my dears.  Bye papa.  Good night Stephen.  Good night Pa. Well young lady, it looks like we have to go shopping tomorrow, what do you say?  Oh yes!, but I would rather get something to eat first.  Can we go now?  Sure, lets go.
