England in the 12th Century
During the 12th century of England, history finds such people as  King Stephen,  The Empress Matilda,  King Henry II, Eleanor of Aquitaine,  Richard the  Lionheart, and  John Lackland.  We also find such events as the sinking of the White Ship, the Cival War of 1139-53, the famous conflict between  Henry II and  his  ex-best friend and chancellor Thomas Becket, the spread of the so-called Angevin Empire, the rebellion of  Henry's sons, the reigns of  Richard I, and John, the king most known for signing the Magna Carter, and the ultimate end of an empire that had once stretched from Ireland, Scotland, England, and western France.

These wondrous times of events led to deadly changes that would, sometimes,  take up to 300 years of warfare to mend.
