Karen Sheperd has always been a gymnast. She became attracted to the physical beauty of martial arts and started in several martial arts, from Tai Chi to Shotokan Karate. Now she has a black belt in Wun Hop Kuen Do. And a talent she was, since she became the first female champion that held her title for two years. Besides training she also taught fitness, martial arts and aerobics.
She kept winning and her popularity was launched. Her specialties are some weapons: double broad sword, and steel whip chain. Her skills made her to be part of a small group of women, ever to be inducted in the Black Belt Hall of Fame.
During one of her tours, she was approached for an acting role, and she was hooked. She had a lot of roles, and some cool ones, but most recently, she was on Hercules and Buffy.
