Caught In The Middle Chapter 1 The phone rings! "Hey hun!" Melissa said, as her aerobics class ended, and she saw Brian, her ride home. He went to hug her "Hey babe! EEEEEEW your all sweaty!" He complained. "I'm sweaty???" she answered, "I'll remind you of that next time you come over after rehearsals!" "Ooo, my bad." They got into Brian's Jeep, he seemed excited about something. "Thanks for picking me up! I can't believe that my junk of a car is in the shop AGAIN!" "No prob, I'm glad to spend some time together, being that I only have 3 weeks before I have to go to Germany!" Melissa put down her water bottle that she was absorbing, and looked at Brian with sad eyes. "You just got back from the US tour, and now your leaving again? I miss you, she said with such a sad tone that Brian pulled over to the side of the road and put his hand on top of hers. "Look, I know this is rough for you, but we still have 3 weeks, then I'll be back before Christmas! OK?" He looked into her eyes. "Ok," she said quietly, "I don't mean to sound selfish, I know that your fans mean the world to you, and you mean the world to them! Let's just have fun while your here!" He started up the car again. After awhile, Brian spoke up, excitedly, "I have a surprise for you!" Melissa smiled widely, to show her perfect teeth. "Oh, tell me NOW!" She begged. "Nope, just wait, go get changed first," they pulled into her driveway and went inside. "Hmmm..." thought Melissa as she opened the front door, "I know I locked this!" "I'll wait here," said Brian, flopping on the black leather couch, with remote in hand. As Melissa got to her room and closed the door, she heard something behind her. "Oh my Gosh, that is the WORST pic of us!" Said a voice behind her. Melissa quickly turned to see the tall blonde familiar face beaming with open arms. She screamed. "OMG! Brittany!!!!!" The girls hugged and giggled. "I haven't seen you since New Year's! How did you? When? How was your flight?" Melissa asked excitedly! The girls hugged again. "My mom said I could do one thing for my 21st birthday, so I decided to come here! Your dad and boyfriend helped me out!" Exclaimed Brittany. Just then Brian came into the room. "I see you found your surprise!" "Thanks Bri!" Melissa ran over to him for a big bear hug. "Why don't you take Bri downstairs and get aquainted while I change out of these exercise clothes! "That's a good look for you!" Joked Brian, admiring her ADIDAS tank and biker shorts, exposing her stomach and belly button ring. "Ha ha! Just go!" Melissa said, playfully pushing the 2 of them out of the door. She took a quick shower and threw on some short cut-off jean shorts and a tight baby blue tank top to match her baby blue nails and toe nails. She slipped on some sandals and put her hair up as she reminisced about her good times with Brittany in NYC. AS she got downstairs, Brian and Brittany looked up from their lemonade glasses. "Lis, Annie called, she said that her and Nick were going to Disney for the day and asked if we wanted to go." Said Brian. Brittany's eyes lit up, "Oh I remember that place, I haven't been there since I was little, I hear that all the guys that work there are fine stuff!" "I take it she wants to go!" Said Brian, "To be honest, I just spent 3 months with Nick, and I would like to have some time off, so I told her maybe we could get together later. I have a business meeting with the band and the guys, Lou, and Denise at 6:00, you guys could go come and chill with us later!" Melissa looked at Brittany, who obviously was in the mood to flirt with guys from a different atmosphere. "OK" she agreed. "Brittany and I will go to Magic Kingdom for the day, knowing Nick and Annie, they'll both wanna be there, and meet up with you around 6:00, k?" Melissa decided. The plan satisfied everyone, Brian drove the girls to Disney, then decided to shop for a while. Brittany and Melissa paid for their tickets and walked through the gate talking like they hadn't been apart. Next: Chapter 2 |
