"What do you mean I cheated? I won the race fair and square, you buy lunch!" Annie replied. She'd never lost one race to Nick, yet he always insisted that he won. "Well...um....your smaller. Naturally, smaller people run faster!" He denied that he wasn't the best runner. "Come on, it's not like you don't have enough money, momma's boy, you're loaded!" she pointed him in the direction of the pizza stand. They walked slowly so Nick could catch his breath. "I can't believe I lost again," Nick grumbled, the sore loser he is. "I always make Brett have to pay, cuz he sucks even more than me! Have you seen the guys while I was gone?" Nick asked. "Yeah, Brett and I went on a few dates, nothing serious, though, we're just friends now. and I went to a Korn concert with Dave and his girlfriend. She's such a bitch ! Have you met her?" Annie waited for a reply. "Nick? Hello, earth to blondie!" Annie said shaking his arm like a little child. But Nick wasn't paying attention, he was staring at something near the pizza stand. "Be right back," he mumbled , walking over to the stand. There was a tall girl with light blonde hair and a perfect figure looking at the menu. Annie figured he was going to get the pizza, so she found a seat and waited. She saw him go over to the girl and start a conversation. Obviously he was introducing himself. She watched as he ordered the pizza and she saw the girl laugh as Nick knocked over the salt and pepper shakers. The both of them leaned over to pick them up. Annie was so deep in thought that she didn't realize someone was talking to her. "Annie! Annie? Hello? ANNIE!" Annie practically fell off her chair, and quickly turned around. "Lis, hey you found us! Did Bri come?" She was blushing. "Nope! He said he was sick of Nicky, but guess what?! You know Brittany that I always talk about? SHE'S HERE! Daddy and Brian helped her plan it! Where did she go?" That's when Annie realized why that girl that Nick was talking to looked familiar. She had seen her in all of Melissa's scrap books from NYC. "Is that her, the one Nick's flirting with?" Annie said, let down, with a sigh in her voice. "Oh my God! Yeah, wouldn't they make the cutest little couple?!" Melissa exclaimed, happy to do a little fixing up. "Oh yeah, a great couple." Annie mumbled sarcastically. The girls walked over to where Brittany was sitting with Nick, who had obviously forgotten that the food Brittany was eating was for his friend, who he had came with. As Melissa introduced everyone, Brittany flashed Annie a $10,000 smile and Annie smirked back. She had never talked to the girl, and already she hated Brittany with a passion.
