Caught In The Middle Characters & Prologue Annie--- Melissa---- *Brittany------ *Brian---- Nick---------- Kevin------- ***********ok guys, that's it for now, but there may be some new characters that show up in the middle of the story. if so, we will send out the profile to them too! Prologue"Melissa, what's taking you so long, we have to go soon!" Annie said while sitting on Melissa's bed, waiting impatiently. "Yup, she's my buddy!" Melissa said while putting her arm around Annie. "Can we come in now?" "Right this way ladies!" AJ answered. Annie walked in after Melissa and checked out the scene. She wasn't that big of a Backstreet Boys fan but she already met Brian from Melissa, she had already met AJ at the door, she figured the well-dressed guy in the corner was Howie, she guessed the tall and reserved guy in the chair was Kevin. But then she fixed her eyes on the baby-faced blonde sitting on the couch. Her heart stopped. She stuttered out her first words, "Ummm....hi. I'm.....uhhh.....Annie." Her eyes still affixed in Nick. Melissa said out loud, "Shake it off! Remember, there's nothing special about them, they're just the Backstreet Boys!" Annie stood there in her blue and black poly pants, a white tank top, and ADIDAS sneakers very embarrassed. Her face was bright red. Everyone was laughing at her by now. Annie was formally introduced to everyone by Melissa when she finally got to Nick. She gave him a once-over and got to his feet. "You are sinning!" She said. "Nice to meet you too!" He said sarcastically, "What are you talking about?" She answered, " Wearing Nike shoes and hat and ADIDAS pants are practically against the law." "Well excuse me Ms. Fashion police!" Nick said jokingly, "Look at what your wearing!" The Melissa said, "See Annie, I told you not to wear that to meet them!" Then AJ butted in, "Well at least she isn't dressed like she's going to Cinderella's ball!" "Well I wanted to make a good impression!" Whined Melissa clinging on to Brian for security. "Well enough chit chat," said Brian, "Let's just watch the movie." They all took their places in their seats. Annie sat conveniently in between Nick and Howie on the couch, Melissa and Brian snuggled in a comfy recliner, while Kevin sat in the other chair and AJ sprawled out on the floor. "You can tell Melissa picked the movie out," said AJ popping the movie into the VCR. "NOT TITANIC AGAIN!" moaned the other guys. Nick blurted out, "That Leonardo DiCaprio is such a fag!" Then Annie answered, "Finally someone who sees my point!" "Oh you guys, shut up, it's starting!" said Melissa. Nick and Annie joked through the whole movie and really pissed off Howie, who was bawling like a baby. By the time the movie had ended mostly everyone was getting tired except for Melissa and Howie who were still bawling their eyes out and Nick and Annie who couldn't stop talking. "Well we better get out of here before Melissa decides to watch it again!" Annie said with a grin. "Oh shut up Annie, I'm not that bad! Besides I have my own Jack Dawson to steam up the windows with!" Then she kissed Brian on the lips passionately. "Oh great, another reason to leave!" Said Annie. "Yeah," said Nick, "Get a room you two!" "Ok fine," said Melissa, "See ya tomorrow Brian!" As she went to get her and Annie's coat, she looked out the window. "Fuck, it's raining! We walked here!" "I gotta go that way anyways," said Nick, "I'll bring you two home." Nick dropped off Melissa first and then went to Annie's house. "I had fun tonight,"said Annie, "You guys are really down to earth." "Yeah, Nick replied, "I think we really clicked. You're really great to talk to. You're just like one of the guys." Annie's hopes were crushed. "Yeah," Annie repeated in a quiet voice, "Just like one of the guys." "Call me if you ever wanna hang out," said Nick, "Melissa's got my phone number." "See ya later."
