A Perfect Picture-Seeing How It's The Opposite Chapter 5 Ashley sat comfortably in the emergency room. She was in heaven, Lyn was gone signing forms for her and she was happily laying in Nick's arms. She closed her eyes and enjoyed herself. Suddenly Nick jolted up and ran to Lyn. Ashley hit her head on the chair and looked up. To her displeasure Lyn was back. "What did they say?" Nick asked. "They'll see her after they take care of that little girl with 3rd degree burns." Lyn and Nick sat down besides Ashley. Nick put his arm around her holding her tight. "OW!!!!!" Lyn cried out. Nick looked down and saw a bruise on her arm. "I'm sorry baby, I didn't know you had a bruise there! Where'd that come from?" Lyn looked at her arm and examined it, “I'm not sure, but I think it's from when we ran outside and I sort of fell and hit my arm on a rock." Nick kissed her bruise, "My poor baby, I'll make you feel better at home." Lyn snuggled up to Nick and he held her tight while they waited. Ashley was getting impatient by the minute. Who the hell does this girl think she is? Taking Nick away! Anger flashed through her, I need to get rid of Lyn once and for all she said to herself. Ashley was so busy in thought that she didn't hear her name being called. "Ashley! Ashley!" Nick said while shaking her. "Come on, let's go in!" All three were about to walk into the emergency area when a nurse stopped them. "I'm sorry but only the patient and one person may go in!" Nick looked at Lyn, "You go hon! You know what they're talking about, I don't!" Lyn nodded and was about to go in when Ashley faked a faint. "Are you okay Ashley? Answer me!" Lyn pleaded. Nick grunted, "Looks like I'll have to take her in!" He kissed Lyn quickly on the lips then carried Ashley in. Lyn sat patiently in a chair for them to come out."Now, the cut isn't major but it's pretty deep. How'd you get it young lady?" the doctor asked. "Well…." Ashley began in an innocent voice, "I was walking and I slipped on the rocks…" she soon started to cry. Nick tried his best to get her to stop. While the doctor cleaned the cut out with iodine for infection Ashley clung tightly to Nick. Hmmm…..now what to do about that little bitch Lyn. Maybe I'll call Bruno up, I'm sure he can help me get rid of her. But first, to take Nick slowly away. She smiled at that thought. Lyn and Nick fighting, them drifting apart, Nick running to her, and finally Lyn not taking it anymore that she commits suicide. My oh my, what a perfect ending, I get Nick and her life. An evil laughter escaped her lips. Nick thought nothing of it, thinking it was from the pain. The doctor looked her over with a scared expression. He had never heard a laugh quite like that before and for being hurt this young lady had a demented evil look on her face. But he didn't dare do or say anything, he thought this girl might be dangerous, but he didn't know how dangerous she could actually be.~The Next Day~ Lyn woke up to the sound of a doorbell. Who could that be she thought. She looked over at Nick who was still soundly asleep. She kissed him gently on the lips then went downstairs. She quickly looked at the clock and found it was only 7 in the morning, when she opened the door, she found nothing. Odd..there's no one there. Not feeling sleepy anymore she decided to make breakfast. As she was making pancakes the phone rang. "Hello?" she asked. Silence, heavy breathing, then a hang up. Okay, first no one at the door, now a hang up, what's going on? She asked herself. Several times during the morning she got the same prank calls. What the hell! She told herself in frustration. The phone rang again, this time Lyn was prepared. "Look, whoever you are STOP CALLING! THIS IS NOT FUNNY!" Lyn screamed into the phone. "Lyn? What are you talking about? What's going on?" the voice asked. Lyn sighed, "Sorry Krys, I thought it was another prank call, I've had several this morning and around 7 someone rang the bell and I found no one there." Krystle looked at AJ who was still asleep. "I'm sorry dear, I called to ask if you and Nick wanted to come over tonight, I've invited everyone else!" "Yeah sure! Is it okay if I bring Ashley? She got hurt last night and maybe seeing everyone will make her feel better!" Krystle frowned, "Yeah sure you can bring her, what happened? How'd she get hurt?" Lyn told her the whole story while Krystle patiently listened. They got off the phone and Krystle sat there thinking. How could she have fallen? Krystle asked herself. The rocks by the cove are dry and never wet, the tide never reaches it so her story of slipping on the wet rocks doesn't fit. Then fainting at the hospital? A cut cannot make you suddenly faint and if it should do so, it would've happened when she first saw the cut. Krystle shook her head, maybe I'm overexaggerating, anything's possible. She smiled, this is what I get for listening to Tori. Ashley laughed evilly. She was having so much fun watching Lyn get worked up. She got joy out of seeing Lyn squirm and get angry. She called again, "Hello?" Lyn said. She became silent then laughed into the phone. She watched as Lyn slammed the phone down with fury. What a weakling, she thought. This little bitch can't even handle a few prank calls. What Nick needs is a woman, like me, not this little girl. She called again, unexpectedly Nick answered. She laughed uncontrollably as she saw Lyn break down and cry. “This will be too easy” she said out loud. Nick held Lyn. "Shh….don't cry sweetie!" he said holding her tight. "Why is this person doing this? All morning calling and hanging up or just laughing in the phone!" she continued to cry as Nick comforted her. He didn't know who'd do such a thing to Lyn, or who would even want to. She was so sweet and caring. But he was going to find out who, he'd talk to Krytle and everyone else. He was hoping it was just some harmless crazed fan. Crazed is right, he just didn't know how crazy she could get.......Next: Chapter 6 |
