A Perfect Picture-Seeing How It's The Opposite Chapter 7 ~In the kitchen~ “WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING BRENT!?!?!?!?!?!” Brenton just shrugged his shoulders. “NICK IS SUPPOSED TO BE BUSY WITH ME AND YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO BE OCCUPYING LYN! NOW LOOK!” she said angrily as she turned his head into the direction of the living room. “LYN is NOW comfortably laying in the arms of MY MAN! And it’s all YOUR FAULT!” Ashley roughly pushed Brenton into the refrigerator. “NOW YOU DO AS WE TALKED ABOUT OR I expose a little something, and when you’re company hears about it, you’ll be in deepest trouble ever imaginable! Imagine this in the headlines! EXTORTION! FRAUD! BRIBERY! And I’m sure you’d hate to be locked up in some tiny little jail cell wouldn’t ya?” Brenton glared at her, “Why do I suddenly think you’re lying and that you have NOTHING ON ME!” Ashley gave a little laugh, “JUST TRY ME, I DARE YOU TO!” Brenton looked her over carefully, seeing he was stuck, he had no choice but to do as she said. “I just have to ask you this, why are you doing this to that poor girl?” “AND WHY THE HELL DO YOU CARE? You don’t know her!” “I may not know her but she looks nice enough, more than I can say for you, why do this to her? She’s never done anything to you!” “What can I say! I just love to destroy people’s perfect lives! Besides I like her boyfriend, no let me rephrase that, I LOVE HER BOYFRIEND! Brenton shook his head, “You’re PURE EVIL, ya know that?” “YES I DO and DAMN PROUD OF IT!” she replied with a grin. “I’m the devil in disguise hon, so don’t mess with me, or you’ll be sorry you ever did! Now just do as I say and you’ll be fine, after all this, once I’ve got Nick, I’ll leave you alone forever! Ok?” Brenton nodded in agreement, what choice did he have. “Now let’s make our way back, I’ll introduce you to Lyn and quickly get Nick away, all you have to do is distract Lyn and keep her as FAR AWAY FROM ME AND NICK AS POSSIBLE!!!! Understood?” “Yeah it’s understood…..” he replied softly. “NOW LET’S GO!” Ashley said pulling him.Lyn looked up from Nick as Ashley and her friend approached them. “Hey Ashley!” “Hi Lyn! I’d like to introduce you to a friend of mine! Lyn this is Brenton, Brent this is Lyn!” Lyn held her hand out. “Nice to meet you Brenton! This is my boyfriend Nick!” Lyn said as she squeezed his hand. “Yeah we’ve met!” Brenton replied. “So are you and Ashley together?” Lyn asked. “NOPE! We’re just friends! I’m single and have my eye on someone already!” Ashley responded. “That’s great! Tell me about him!” “Well….” Ashley began, “He’s the finest man I’ve ever seen, I love the way his eyes twinkle and the way his mouth curves into a sexy grin. He has the bluest eyes I have ever seen, and the most heavenly voice. He’s just FINE in every way and absolutely PERFECT FOR ME!” “That’s great Ashley! So have you talked to this dream boy yet?” “Well yeah, but he doesn’t seem to notice I’m alive, he’s too busy with another girl!” “Well if you really want him, you gotta go after him, make him notice you, ya know?” “That’s EXACTLY what I was thinking!” Ashley exclaimed as an evil thought ran through her mind. “Gosh Lyn, you know just what I’m thinking!” she replied with sarcasm, though no one noticed. “Well of course! I’m a girl too! I know how it is to fall in love with someone!” Lyn said as she looked up at Nick. Nick hugged her tighter and whispered in her ear. “I love you too baby!” Ashley looked at the affection going on, “Don’t mind me while I gag” she mumbled. “What was that Ashley?” Lyn asked. “Oh nothing, just said how cute!” “Well thanks! We do get that a lot!” Lyn and Nick looked at each other and smiled. Uhhh….hmm…….Brenton cleared his throat as Ashley nudged him. “Was there something you needed Brenton?” Nick asked. “Umm….I was just wondering, is there any food around here??” “Oh yeah, let me take you to the kitchen.” Nick carefully lifted Lyn off of him and onto the couch. “Be right back hon, don’t you dare move!” Lyn smiled, and watched Nick and Brenton walk away. “God, I’m so lucky!” Lyn murmured to herself. “What was that Lyn?” Ashley asked as she sat down by her. “I was just saying to myself that I’m the luckiest woman alive.” “And why’s that?” “Because Nick is the sweetest and I’m so unbelievably lucky to have him.” “Well isn’t that just so sweet!” Ashley answered with a sarcastic tone. Lyn didn’t noticed, being too busy daydreaming. “Oh yeah! I’d be nowhere without him! Ya know? He’s been there for me! Can’t find another like him!” “Well isn’t that nice!” Ashley said rolling her eyes. How disgustingly pathetic could she get? Ashley asked hersef. “Hey we’re back!” Nick said with a smile. “That’s GREAT!” Ashley replied with a perky smile. “Come on sweetie, I want to show you something outside!” Nick said pulling Lyn up. “Hmm…..what?” “Come on! Bye Brenton, nice meeting you!” Ashley watched as Nick playfully threw Lyn over his shoulder and brought her outside. “Jealous aren’t we?” Brenton said with a sneer. Ashley shot him an evil look. Hannah suddenly jumped, “TORI!!!!!!!” “Girl, what is wrong with you?? Krys has been yelling out your name like a million times!!!” “Sorry!” Krys walked over to Hannah, “Are you okay?” “yeah I’m alright, but I don’t think Lyn will be….” “What do you mean?” “It’s Ashley! I’m telling you, Ashley is doing all this to Lyn!” “Hannah are you sure about what you’re saying?” “I’m POSITIVE Krys!! I can feel it in my gut and I see the way she looks at Nick and Lyn!” “Maybe you just don’t like her!” SJ piped in. “NO, I KNOW IT’S HER!!!! Why don’t you guys believe me?” “It’s not that we don’t believe you Hannah,” Krys explained, “But you can’t go around making accusations, you know?” “Yeah but I’m telling you I’m 99.9% sure it’s her!” “So what do you wanna do about it?” “I say we tell Nick and Lyn!” “No, I want to be sure about it before we do, we’ll tell the guys, but that’s it, until we have some hard proof that it’s Ashley, we don’t say a word, ok?” “Yeah ok! But now that we know who it is what do we do?” “Hannah, remember, it could be someone else, but just in case it’s Ashley, we all have to watch her and Nick and Lyn carefully. I don’t want anything to happen to Lyn.” “Ok, is that it?” “There’s nothing more we can do, but just watch.” “Can’t we find out the info. On this girl?” “Yeah, I’ll talk to a friend of mine at the police station, as for tonight, go on with the party and keep watching her, also, when you each go home, make sure to tell Bri, Kev, and Howie about her, alright?” “Yeah ok” they all said. Krys watched Ashley, her feeling about her was right, she was bad news, but now what do about her. Plus she had to get hard proof. Krys quickly looked away when Ashley turned, careful to not be caught. She didn’t notice him before, but there he was standing alone in the corner of the room. I think I’ll go over to him and ask a few questions, Krys thought to herself. “Excuse me a minute guys, but I need to talk to someone.” Krys left and crossed the room. “Hi there, I’m Krys!” “Brent!” he said shaking her hand. “Boyfriend of Ashley’s?” “There’s no way I’d ever allow myself to be that!” he said quite coldly. “A friend then?” “I wouldn’t say that either.” “So what are you?” “Someone who’s being blackmailed” he mumbled. “I didn’t hear you, what?” “I said someone who worked for her.” “oh ok, what is it you do?” “Umm….er…….uhhh….” Krys waited impatiently for his answer. “You don’t know what your job is?” “Yeah I do I’m a uhh….ummm…..uhh…..” “He’s my personal assistant Krys!!!” Ashley suddenly cut in. “Yeah, I’m her personal assistant!” Brenton said with an odd look. “Well that must be nice for you Brent!” “Uh, yeah sure is!” Ashley grabbed Brenton’s arm, “Excuse me Krys, I have to talk to MY PERSONAL ASSISTANT” “yeah whatever, nice meeting you Brent!” Krys quickly walked away. “WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING BRENTON?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Are you deliberately trying to ruin my plan???? Are you that stupid you can’t think of a simple job??” “Look, that question caught me off guard ok! And you never gave me any details! All you said is to keep Lyn from Nick, well guess what, Lyn is WITH Nick!” “Don’t be a smartass!” Ashley glared at him. “Now I want you to go talk to the guys, especially Brian, since that’s Nick’s best friend, get all the information you can on Nick and Lyn, understood?” “yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah….” Hannah shook her head in disgust at what she heard, I knew I was right! She quickly walked back to Krys, Tori, and SJ. “you guys wouldn’t believe what I heard!” “What?” Tori asked. “I was right! Ashley is after Nick!” “How do you know Hannah?” “I overheard Ashley tell that guy over there to go talk to the guys and ask about Nick and Lyn!” “That could mean anything Hannah! Maybe she’s just curious about them!” SJ replied. “NO, you didn’t see or hear how she was!” “Maybe…..maybe Hannah’s right you guys!” Krys said. “How do ya figure?” SJ asked. “Well, I just talked to that guy Brent and he’s supposed to be working for Ashley and he didn’t even know what his job was, before I could ask him more stuff Ashley interrupted us.” “That still doesn’t prove anything!” SJ reasoned. “yeah ok…” Krys said but she knew Hannah and her were right, even if Tori and SJ didn’t believe it. I’ll tell AJ tonight, Krys thought to herself, and I know he’ll help me and get the guys to help. ~Later that night~ “Bye guys!” Krys yelled as Hannah, Howie, Brian, and SJ pulled out of the drive way. “See you guys tomorrow!” Krys went back in the house, “AJ, have you seen Nick and Lyn?” “Yeah, they’re still outside I think.” He said while cleaning things up. “Are Ashley and Brent still here?” “Yeah, Brent is in the bathroom and Ashley went outside too.” Oh No!
