Lost Dreams Chapter 17 Jess kneeled in front of him. ‘Let me tell you a little bit about Hannah. She is stuck between two worlds.’ Aaron looked at her. ‘What do you mean by that?’ Jess sighed. ‘Her father was mortal but her mother was a vampire. She doesn’t belong in your world but she doesn’t belong in mine either.’ Jess took his hand in her cold hands. ‘Once every hundred years one is born. She chooses the next leader and she choose you.’ Aaron stood up. ‘But I don’t want to.’ Jess sighed again. ‘It doesn’t matter what you want Aaron. Hannah made the decision.’ Aaron turned around. ‘Will she be a vampire soon?’ Jess shook her head. ‘She will turn a vampire the day she turns 25.’ Aaron frowned. ‘Why that day?’ Jess stood up and walked to the balcony. ‘Her mother was 25 when she was made a vampire.’ Aaron watched her leave. He sat down with more questions than he had before.Alec laced her fingers together with Kevin’s fingers. A few steps behind Nick and Lisa walked close together. ‘Let’s go through there.’ Alec pointed towards the park. Kevin shook his head. ‘No body goes through this park at night.’ Alec looked at him with pleading eyes. ‘Come on it will be fun.’ She could hear Lisa laugh. Kevin sighed and led Alec towards the entrance of the park. Alec felt his rapidly increasing heartbeat. A group of young guys walked towards them. Kevin pulled Alec closer. One of the guys walked to Kevin. ‘Hey mister. You are off limits here.’ ‘I am sorry.’ Kevin’s voice was shaky. The guys pushed him. ‘Oh.’ Said Lisa. ‘Now you are getting Alec angry.’ The boy looked at Lisa. ‘Well well miss pretty.’ The boy circled around Lisa. He suddenly pulled out a knife and slashed her arm. Lisa shook her head. ‘Bad move.’ Nick looked at Kevin with fear in his eyes. Lisa grabbed the boy and pushed him to the ground. ‘Now I have to ruin my make up.’ Lisa opened her mouth and her fangs grew. The boy’s eyes grew big. ‘I..I..I didn’t mean it.’ Lisa smiled sweetly. ‘Too late.’ She roughly tilted his head and sank her teeth in his neck. Nick’s jaw nearly fell to the ground.
