Chapter 7

"No, Nick! We just ate. We are not going to ride Space Mountain. I'm putting my foot down." Kim told Nick, stamping her foot on the pavement.

"And what a cute foot it is!" He smiled at her, "Oh, come on, Kim. I have a lead belly. Nothing's gonna happen," he told her.

Kim looked at him skeptically. "I don't know. That's what you say now, Carter, but what are you gonna be saying when you're cleaning yourself up after I throw up all over you?"

Nick laughed. "You'll be fine. I'll be fine. Let's go!" He grabbed her hand and led her to the line.

A half hour later, Kim and Nick came walking out of Space Mountain. Nick was looking more than a little green. Kim, however, showed no sympathy. She was laughing at him.

"Ugh," Nick said, clutching his stomach.

"I don't feel one bit sorry for you, Nick Carter! I told you not to go on that ride, but noooo. You just had to go on it," Kim told him, still laughing.

Nick looked at her, sickly. "Stop it, or you're gonna be seeing my hot dog and fries all over your shoes."

"Eww Nick, that's gross! Oh, all right." Kim walked over to stand behind Nick. She wrapped her arms around him and began to rub his stomach. "Is that better, you big baby?"

Nick let out a low moan. "Kim, my stomach's not feeling any better, but something else sure is!"

"Oh, Nick! That's it! I try to be nice but you go and get all naughty on me. I'm not gonna help you anymore, little man," Kim said. Blushing, she pulled away from Nick. Before she could get far, Nick grabbed her hand and pulled her back to him. Kim looked up at Nick and lost herself in those blue eyes. He bent his head to hers and their lips met in a dizzying kiss.

"Nick," Kim whispered against his lips. "Nick, we're making out in the middle of Disney World. People are starring."

"Let `em," Nick said and captured her lips in another unbelievably sweet kiss.

Kim pulled away from Nick completely. "Seriously Nicky..."

"Don't call me that. No one calls me that," he told her.

"Erika does," came Kim's reply.

Nick gave her a look. "That's because she refuses to let me grow up! She still sees me as that 12 year old brat."

"And you love it, don't you?" Kim asked.

Nick smiled sheepishly, "Yeah, I do. She just knows me too well, ya know?"

He was being so sincere that she felt her resolve to not get deeply involved with him fade away. Boldly, she reached out, took his face in her hands, and kissed him slowly. Kim pulled away and whispered, "I hope someday, I get to know you that well, too."

"Sweetie, believe me. If I have my way, you will." He leaned over and kissed her again. "Now, come on. Splash Mountain is calling us!" Nick grabbed Kim's hand and pulled her through the park.

"Oh no, Nick. Not again!"

"OK, I think we're dome for the day. Good rehearsal, you guys," J.C. said as he wiped his sweaty face with a towel.

Lance ran over to Erika and put his arms around her.

"Gross! Get away from me, Lance. You're all sweaty and icky," Erika squealed.

He laughed. "Fine, be that way! I try to be all cuddly, which is supposedly what women want, and this is what I get. Rejected!'

Erika smiled at him and pushed him away. "Oh, it's what we want all right. But you have to be clean! That's the one rule. Go shower!"

The five men laughed, but none protested as they headed for the dressing room.

30 minutes later Lance was ready to go. They headed for the 4runner. "Lance, I wanna drive. Let me drive."

"Nope. No one drives my car but me!" he told her.

"Lance, please?! If you ever want me to kiss you again, you will let me drive this car!" Erika told him, her eyes sparkling.

"You drive a hard, unfair bargain," he said, kissing her quickly on the lips and handing her the keys.

Erika laughed and got behind the wheel. "Men! Just push the right buttons and you'll get anything you want."

"Hey! I resent that," Lance said.

"No, you resemble that!" Erika replied, still laughing.
