Then and Now Chapter 4 Aimee sat on Nick's bed watching her best friend search for his new cargo pants. "Do you see them Aimee?" he whined, going through the same stack of clothes for the fifth time. "Did you check your suitcase? You know you never totally unpack." she answered. Nick walked over to the closet and pulled out his worn out suitcase, a second later he pulled out his tan cargos. "Never would have thought they would be there." "Yeah well I know you too well." Aimee jumped off the bed. "I'm going to go get ready, do you think you could pick me up on the way?" Nick nodded. "Yeah I think we can all fit in the durango." "Ok see ya laterz." and with that she walked out of his room.Lis sat on the bed watching Han tie up her new sneakers. "This is gonna be fun." Han said excitedly, images of meeting the other three Backstreet Boys in her mind. "Yay fun!" Lis said sarcastically, pulling out her cell phone. Han looked over. "You going to call Boyd?" "i think so. Haven't talked to him in a couple days." She said as she dialed the number. It rang several times and his machine picked up. She left a quick message and hung up. Han had left the room so Lis shut the door and went to get ready. She was almost dressed when there was a knock on the door. "Hold on!" She yelled, she finished doing up her vest shirt and opened the door. Nick was standing there. "Yeah?" Lis asked, a nervous feeling in her stomache. Nick looked down at her and smiled. "You look nice. Uhm Han's ready, I'm ready so if your ready we can go." "Then we can go." Lis said and walked by him, heading downstairs. Krys stood next to her boyfriend AJ, looking out the patio doors. "So Nick's bringing who?" she asked again. "The daughter of his parents friend and her best friend." AJ answered, going to answer the door. Krys walked into the kitchen and could hear the voices of everyone arriving. She turned around to find Howie and his girlfriend Jenn standing near the food table. "Howie! Can't you wait?" Krys asked, pulling the tray of food away from him. Howie laughed. "Warm greeting there Krys. Yep you living with AJ was a wise decision." Jenn laughed. "Stop it D, or she'll kick you out." "That's right, listen to Jenn." Krys smiled. "I'm going outside, catch ya ladies later." D said and walked out the patio doors, seeing AJ go outside a minute before. Krys shook her head and sat down. "Man why do you stay with him?" Jenn smiled and grabbed a drink from the counter. "Probably the same reason you stay with Bone...no wait probably not the same reason." Jenn laughed and Krys shook her head. "Oh Nick's bringing some new faces tonight." Krys said, picking up a tray of food and taking it outside. "Really who?" "Two girls. One's the daughter of his parents friend and her friend." Aimee got into the back of Nick's all ready crowded Durango. Brian was sitting in the passenger seat and Lis and Han were in the back. "Evening all." Aimee said cheerfully. "Hey Aim." Bri said, turning to look at her. "You look good." Aimee looked down at her tank top and adidas tear away pants. "Nothing like getting dressed up I always say." she smiled at him and looked over at t he girls. "Do you guys have plans for tomorrow?" "I don't think so." Lis answered, she hated to admit it but she was kinding of looking forward to this party. The ride to Aimee's had been filled with Brian telling funny stories. She looked over and saw his blue eyes looking at her. She smiled and he grinned and turned back around to talk to Nick. "Well I was going to the beach, and I thought you'd like to come? All the girls are going, so tell me later tonight if you'd like to or not." She smiled at them. "Nick, can you please turn Journey off? Is that the only cd you own?" Nick laughed and stopped at the red light. He turned around. "You know the only other ones I own are us Backstreet Boys ones and their hung on the walls." he teased. Brian rolled his eyes. "Didn't I see a Will Smith cd somewhere back here?" he asked opening up the glove compartment. "Try the radio." Han suggested. "Good idea Han." Brian said and turned Journey off, ignoring Nick's disgusted face. The DJ stopped talking and Lets Have A Party filled the vehicle. Everyone but Lis laughed. "What?" she asked confused. "You mean you don't know?" Nick asked her. He was rather surprised she didn't recognize the song. "If I did would I ask?" Lis asked. Nick shook his head and started singing along as Brian turned the radio down. When the song was over Nick pulled into AJ's driveway and turned around to face her. "That my Lissy was our song, and one of my leads." "Oh." Lis said embarrassed as everyone got out of the Durango. "Its ok." Nick smiled at her and jumped out. Lis got out and slammed the door, following the group around the side walkway in the direction of the music. Next: Chapter 5 |
