It was a dark, dark day... The Olsen twins had decided to cover "Island in the Sun" on their forthcoming CD... Karl called me as soon as he found out on his Mickey Mouse phone. I raced over to see what needed to be done.. We both decided it was necessary to annihilate the Olsen twins, but, realizing it was slightly illegal, decided against it. Instead, we figured we'd meet up with them and somehow convince them to leave the Weez out of their insane plot to overthrow the world. We found them hanging out with Dave Coulier outside the ruins of the set of "Full House", telling passerbys "We're twins!". Dave Coulier had to leave to make a guest spot on "To Tell the Truth" with Meshach Taylor and Paula Poundstone. We were left face-to-face with the Olsen twins. It was tense, but after much coaxing, pleading and bargaining, they decided to autograph Karl's copy of "How the West Was Fun". With the tough part over, we started talking about their decision to cover Weezer. I was sickened by the thought of it, and told them so. They told me they were sickened by the thought of me wearing a "Rockin' Around the Clock" shirt. A fight ensued... Karl left me there to go home and watch "Winning London". In conclusion, they're still covering the song, they still look like monkey children, and Karl now has an autographed copy of "How the West Was Fun". |
