• Please make note of the following training rules •

1. All slaves (privately & Village owned) will follow the training program. The Jarl's Woman and slave trainers are responsible -only- for the training of Village slaves. The only exception to this is when an Owner pays the fee to have Their slave trained by Lady Chloe or a slave trainer appointed by Her. Otherwise, the Owner is responsible for the training of Their own property. Either way, ALL slaves within Kassau are tested by the Jarl's Woman or Her appointed trainer. In the absence of the Owner, Lady Chloe or a slave trainer can & will offer guidance/corrections to privately collared slaves. The Owner not being in the Village is no excuse for a slave to embarrass the Home with errors left unattended.

2. New slaves must be evaluated by Lady Chloe or slave designated by Her to do so. Until one is evaluated they will wear a star(*) in thier collar to signify an unevaluated status. There are no exceptions...regardless of what one has learned else where. All new slaves will be required to learn Kassau's ways and be evaluated to see where they will be the best assest to the home, her people, and themselves.

3. More advanced slaves will sometimes be assigned to newer slaves for training. These slaves will help the newly collared ones learn the basic material and ways of serving in the Village. Trainees will address thier trainer as "mistress" while they are training.

4. Training is taken seriously here. All Kassau slaves (Village collar or private collar) will be expected to learn and use the basic training information and the rules. Training and promotion to a more advanced level will only be provided once a slave has shown knowledge, understanding, and commitment to the basic level.

5. All slaves are required to do chores in addition to studying, serving, etc. Chores must be posted to the chore board for Lady Chloe to review. For more info on chores, see this page.

6. Each slave will have and be responsible for keeping up a "training journal", which will be in a restricted area of the message walls. New training information, assignments, and critiques will be posted in the journals. Slaves are also encouraged to make personal notes of progress (or lack thereof) for themselves in their journals.

7. There will be training "events" and "meetings" at times. Some are optional...some are not. Notices for such will be written on message walls.

If anyone has any comments or questions on any of the info presented in these pages please contact Lady Chloe. I can be found on ameeshia.com or reached via this link.

• Things to think about before accepting a Kassau collar •

1. Training here is designed to foster individual creativity in a slave, and to draw each slave to their highest potential. This means that the training is often HARD and that expectations are high. Slaves may be evaluated after collaring, and it will be determined for what purpose they will be trained beyond basic service training. A slave will have some input into this initial assessment. Honesty is the best policy, and will assure that a slave's training matches their true desire of how they see themselves serving. There will be minimum requirements for training and service times for all of the slaves of Kassau. These will not be overwhelming and will be specifically tailored to a slave's r/t schedule, if possible. But they will not be optional.

2. In Kassau, the color of your clothing has no bearing on your training status. The color of your work or collaring clothing is white. The typical silk designations mean nothing in Torvaldsland. Pleasure slaves, paga slaves, kettle slaves, and the slaves of Free Women wear a white woolen kirtle for chores and service. Silks of many colors may be worn, depending on their Owners preference, for -special occasions- like festivals, dances, and special service. Changes in training are marked by special tags on your collars, indicating your training level and your restriction level.

3. Virgin slaves in Kassau will wear a chastity belt. The Jarl/Owner will hold the keys. If it's desired for the slave to have their virginity taken, there will often be an auction with the job of using the slave for the first time going to the highest bidder.

4. Happy slaves make for a pleasant Home. Training and service here should be both challenging and enjoyable. If you find that your mood and attitude are not up to that, speak to the trainer about options particular to your situation. If you are struggling with training issues, speak to Lady Chloe EARLY. Additional assistance and information will be made available to you to help you.

5. Problems DO crop up. If a Free is having problems with a particular slave, these problems will be addressed with the trainer. If a Kassau slave is having problems of any nature, their course of action would be to speak to their trainer. If it needs to go further from there, the trainer will handle it. Sometimes nothing will change. If a slave feels that the problem is with the trainer then, they may speak with Lady Chloe, the Jarl's Woman. In NO case may a slave approach the Jarl with slave issues. Slave issues should never interfere with the Jarl's already busy schedule, unless presented by the Jarl's Woman or slave trainer.

6. The Kassau collar that you wear is iron, hammered on. It has no lock to be picked, cannot be bent or removed except by the Kassau Metal Worker. It is tagged with your name, your training level, and your restrictions. Once you are collared here, the only way to get out of that collar is to be sold, killed or freed. Once collared the name you are given will be your ONLY persona on Gor. Otherwise, you risk death upon being caught, which is highly likely to happen. This includes using names such as Anonymous, visitor ~o~, and various ~o~ names. Think well on that before you accept the collar.

• Kassau Slave Rules •

This is not a rule, but a way of life.....The slightest whim of your Owner is your highest law. Free Persons are never wrong. They may not always be right, but They are never wrong. A slave will only have two last words in any conversation with a Free. "Yes/No, Jarl/Mistress"

1. A slave of Kassau is a slave, and will remember that in all dealings with others. Free Persons are to be treated respectfully, regardless of personal feelings. Free Men of Kassau will be addressed as Jarl, as Men of the North were called. There only two exceptions to this. One is for Men that visit Kassau and live elsewhere and the other is for personally owned slaves. The ONLY time a Kassau slave will call a Kassau Man -anything- but 'Jarl' is when He owns her and she wears His -personal- collar. Then the personally owned slave will call her Owner 'my Jarl'. Men of other Homes shall be called Master, unless They instruct otherwise. Free Women will be addressed as Mistress. The slave trainer assigned to another slave-in-training, to assist their training, will be addressed as mistress (note the lower case m) WHILE directly in a training session.

2. Each slave will learn to properly greet those free people and other slaves they come in contact with throughout the village. Keep it realistic and only speak to those that are actually within 'hearing range'! Otherwise, greetings and such should be sent via PM until your in 'range'. The personal feelings of any slave need not apply here. Serving the pleasures of FP is your job and being polite like this will be done as expected.

3. Slaves will not need permission to enter Kassau, but it is required that they enter properly, using the correct entry button. (Kassau Members Entrance) "Backdooring" in is not allowed. When a slave enters, they should set the room "history" on 10, at least, and read the backposts to get an idea of what's going on. Permission will be required to leave when a slave is in service or Free People are present. In the event that a slave is in the room without FP, they don't need to ask to go, unless they are in a training session. In that case, they should get the trainer's permission. In all instances, it is polite for a slave to bid farewell to the people in their vicinity. If someone is not within "hearing" range, it's acceptable to PM them a goodbye.

4. A Kassau slave will only accept private messages from Free Members and other slaves of the Village, unless they have the express permission of their Owner or a Village Free, or when the entire Village has been asked to take messages to Private, or when an observer needs to ask a question. If anyone that is not a member PM's you, you are to cut and paste the message in public immediately and respectfully inform the person that you can not accept private messages from them without permission. If the problem persists, ask a Village Free for help, if They have not already stepped in.

5. All slaves of Kassau will serve according to their abilities. Each slave will be evaluated by their trainer, and/or the Jarl's Woman, to determine what level of service they are capable of when they are collared. Each slave will offer to serve INDIVIDUALLY, each Free in the Room by approaching them. Often times slaves can greet and offer their service all in one shot, even if they meet up with a FP outside the Hall. There is more to serving than mixing drinks and dishing up food. A wise, creative free person can surely find a task for a slave to tend, no matter what. It is not acceptable for a slave to refuse service to any free person, just because they are not the slave's owner. Slaves should not kneel on the slave furs and 'holler' across the Hall to see if their services are needed. If no Free is in need of individual service, Kassau slaves will either attend to chores or provide beverage refill service for the Frees in the room or study or participate in recreational activites if their work is done.

6. Chores are often going to be assigned in Kassau. A certain amount of time, according to a slave's r/t schedule, will be expected to be committed to their Home. Kassau Law states that each citizen and slave is asked to be in attendance at least two hours each week. If, during this time, they are not serving in the room, or are alone, a slave will be doing SOMETHING...some chore, some work...something productive. Recreational activites and personal grooming will not be performed until the slave has their assigned work done. Chores are due each week...before midnight on Saturday night. Slaves in training will be required to learn the training information provided by their trainer and on the website. This should be in addition to time spent in the room using that new knowledge. Slaves who do not manage to show that they are productive will be assigned disciplinary projects. Slaves that do not come to the room for extended periods of time without getting permission or offering explaination (in advance if possible) will be swiftly disciplined.

7. In the servery, slaves will have access to ulos (chained to the countertop) and other instruments in order to prepare food. Items like cutting shells and rocks are not used here. Any slave who picks up a knife or other item in an attempt to use it as a weapon will be killed instantly. No exceptions. No slave is capable of attacking and injuring a free in Kassau without being instantly set upon by the guards and other FP, so the only thing that wielding a tool as a weapon in Kassau will get a slave is dead.

8. A slave owns nothing. Not the clothes on their back. Not the mats and furs they sleep on. Not the gruel they eat. Not even their name. Not a thing...nothing. Therefore any gifts they are given or items they find are not theirs to keep/use unless they are permitted so by their Owner. Anyone caught not asking will be punished.

9. Slaves serve the pleasure of Free People, not of themselves or each other. This is to be kept in mind at all times. No FP should be left unattended as slaves play. Though friendship and teamwork is expected, even among bond-maids and thralls, by no means should any thrall be having any sort of sexual/physical contact with the female slaves of the Village without express direct permission. This can and most likely will mean their death. Female slaves coercing thralls beyond playful teasing or actually taking it further will be punished as well. Perhaps with the same end result.

10. If a slave is alone in the Village and a Master or Mistress enters and behaves inappropriately, you are to go to the med room located within the Hall and close and lock the door. Save the posts, and report it to a Village Free as soon as you can, then "X" out. There should never be a worry of a raid when a slave is alone. Two free men must be present in order for there to be any attack.
**Warning there have been situations involving cyber rapists. A slave of Kassau is valuable property, and will not allow her/himself to be abused in this way. Return when you see a Free Member in the Village, and report the matter immediately. **

11. Though in the books slaves are not required to use lower case or third person speech, in order to better remember and comprehend the enormity of your slavery in this virtual environment, these conventions can and will be used in Kassau. However, it should be noted that slaves are not required to always speak in third person. Such speech might be commanded of them without notice, quizzing them in their place, or set forth as a punishment or a reminder. Slaves that are comfortable with third person speech are welcome to use it as much as they like, provided their owner doesn't object. Despite how they speak, a slave would do well to always remember that they are collared and owned property. Lapses of memory will be dealt with swiftly. A slave will never forget their place!

12. Time in service in Kassau means time in service in Kassau. Not on ICQ, not in another room...in Kassau. Kassau slaves may not run two screens, ghost without permission or get tied up on ICQ. When you are in Kassau, your full attention is here. And to the One you're serving. The ONLY exception to this is the fact that you're allowed to have the Kassau scrolls open as well as the chat room. If you think you are going to be gone for more then FIVE minutes ask to leave and explain why when you get back. There is no excuse for a trained and serving slave to have 5-20 minutes between posts in a serve. If an emergency arises you are allowed to "X" out, then explain when you return as to what happened. It will not be tolerated if this happens on a regular basis, however.

13. Medical service will be provided by a Healer or skilled FP if at all possible. Kassau slaves will not serve items such as kanda to chew or brewed in a tea to relieve pain. No slave will have access to breeding wine. Slave wine, strong enough to have a permanent effect without the reversal wine, is given after a slave is collared. This is a 'given' even if not actually roleplayed out. In other words, without careful planning and proper procedures followed by FP, it is highly unlikely and nearly impossible that any slave of this Village will wind up pregnant.

14. The rules for posting to message boards MUST be followed at all times.

15. Kassau slaves will learn and might be tested on the information presented on the USEFUL LINKS page....frequently check this page for updates!!

16. Additional rules may/will be added as a slave's training level goes up or with change of collar. All slaves will still be required to learn, know and live by these basic rules.
