The Boy From Oz is receiving mixed reviews, but there are nothin' but praises for our leading man!  Here are bits and pieces of them.  

• New York Post: But it's Jackman -- a better performer than Allen himself ever was -- who is sensational... He can start rehearsing his Tony acceptance speech any time this morning.

• Associated Press: Yet if there were a lifetime achievement award for Broadway's hardest working actor, the personable Jackman would win — hands, feet and legs down or up on the piano.

• Washington Post: All that "The Boy From Oz" really has is Jackman, the charismatic Wolverine from "X-Men."

• New York Observer: Very rarely, perhaps once or twice if we’re very lucky, certain supreme musical stars are embraced absolutely by an audience. Mr. Jackman is one of them. He stops the show, and no wonder. From start to blazing finish, the audience at the Imperial Theatre is at his feet.

Hugh Jackman isn't worried about kissing guys -- he'll be doing a lot of that. He isn't even worried about his "X-Men" fans heckling him from the audience. When Jackman takes the stage as the lead in the musical "Boy from Oz" about bisexual entertainer Peter Allen, he's worried about how Allen's ex-wife Liza Minnelli will react.
