1/14/04 From AICN:

Van Helsing Trailer Coming Friday!!! (@ www.apple.com/trailers)

"I saw the VAN HELSING trailer over the Weekend (it hits theatres this Friday) and let me just say that it's "Indiana Jones" meets "The Tomb of Dracula".  You will wet your pants at the tease this trailer provides. Beautiful, gothic and epic, all at the same time.  The effects, although not yet finished, look fantastic! wait till you see the Wolfman and Hugh go at it in mid-air over pit of fire!  It's only 1 minute 32 seconds.  Boy I wish it was longer.  I would say SPIDER-MAN 2 and VAN HELSING are the top 2 contenders for Summer 2004 box office crown!  Warm regards, Gene Wolfman"

12/26/03 From josie-maran.com:

Model/Actress Josie Maran has posted pics of herself, Silvia Colloca and Elena Anaya as Dracula's brides in Van Helsing on her website!

12/17/03 From Jackman's Landing:

"...A reader was kind enough to let us know that Universal Pictures actually responded to her inquiry about when promotion for VH will begin in earnest. She was told that not only would the official site get a facelift after the first of the year, but that the first trailer for the film will go out with the Ben Stiller/Jennifer Aniston comedy Along Came Polly (also a Universal release), set to be released Jan. 16th."

12/17/03 From EmpireOnline:

See the Van Helsing banner, soon to appear in theaters near you!

12/15/03 From SciFi:

Wenham Qs Up In Van Helsing

"David Wenham, who plays Carl in the upcoming supernatural film Van Helsing, told SCI FI Wire that his character is a weapons maker for the title hero, played by Hugh Jackman. "Carl ... is a monk who invents extraordinary weapons," Wenham said in an interview. "He's sort of like a very period Q [from the James Bond films]."

11/30/03 The lovely Sarah, aka angelcakes, from MediaBlvd writes:

While waiting for the arrival of my BFO CD (which still hasn't come), something else arrived in the post to make up for it. I have in my hot little hand the latest edition of Empire magazine with an exclusive 2 pages about Van Helsing. So, after figuring out how to actually use my scanner (I knew it would come in useful one day), here it is for your viewing pleasure. Sorry if the scans aren't great quality though, but at least we are finally getting to hear a bit more about this film.

11/27/03 ComingSoon.net writes:

This image of Hugh Jackman in Van Helsing, coming May 7, has appeared before but not quite as full and high-quality as now. The Stephen Sommers action film, also starring Kate Beckinsale, finds Bram Stoker's fabled monster hunter, Van Helsing (Jackman), summoned to a distant Eastern European land on a quest to vanquish evil such as Dracula, the Frankenstein monster and The Wolf Man.

9/14/03 From Comingsoon:

Kate Beckinsale Talks Van Helsing

"I'm a gypsy princess who teams up with Van Helsing to try to kill Dracula," Kate says of her role. "It was really fun. I mean, it's a romp. ['Underworld'] is much more of a serious action thriller thing. But ['Van Helsing'] is more of a family adventure romp. Very sort of high romantic, it looks like Hugh (Jackman) and I are competing for the longest hair extensions."

9/3/03 From Comingsoon:

JAKKS Pacific, Inc. announced today that the Company has signed a master toy license with Universal Studios Consumer Products Group for Universal Pictures' upcoming theatrical release, Van Helsing. In addition, JAKKS has also signed the master toy license for Universal Studios Monsters, further strengthening the Company's growing line up of boys action figure properties and plans to create a full range of products for both properties.

Reports San Diego Comic-Con 2003

*From Countingdown:

Hugh Jackman looks very slick as gothic Vamp hunter Abraham Van Helsing, who spent a lot of the footage swinging around on ropes and swirling his groovy black cape. His costume in general stood out as an impressive accomplishment, even though Jackman looked equally good in what appeared to be a shirtless scene in the rain -- that boy works out, I think.

*From DarkHorizons:

One of the other biggies was Stephen Sommers monster epic which had the biggest panel of the con along with some darn sweet footage. No dialogue was seen and the music was Bram Stoker's Dracula for a lot of it, but otherwise it was a fast cut non-FX clip with some pretty revealing stuff. Plenty of Hugh Jackman in Van Helsing garb swinging down flying foxes or jumping around in only a loincloth Tarzan-style (*drools*)... follow the link to read more!

*From CHUD:

Van Helsing looks... big. With still nearly a year of post-production, it's still reasonably safe to say I could tell where the money went. The period costumes and set design is certainly remarkable...

* From AICN:

... What was screened looked very impressive. I was kind of expecting the campy color scheme of the Mummy films, but I was totally wrong. The cinematography is sharp and dark, without a hint of a golden filter. The atmosphere is thick, the action is intense...

7/4/03 From VanShoot

These images are of the Van Helsing castle film set located in Downey, CA. Set construction began here in March when film crews were shooting in Europe for 11 weeks. In May, the film crew came to Los Angeles to shoot the castle scenes.

6/20/03 From Entertainment Weekly:

STRAIGHT ARROW Jackman wears hair extensions for next May's Victorian drama ''Van Helsing.'' ''I'm a rock star,'' he said of the new 'do. ''Although my 3-year-old (Oscar) thinks I'm a girl. He says, 'Daddy, you're Mummy now.'''

6/6/03 From Latin Review:

More Set Pics!

As promised, we now have some more pictures for you. We've got some fuzzy pictures of the Frankenstein monster. He's hanging in front of a blue screen. In one pic, you can see him roaring. Pretty cool.

The set is huge, as you can see. What they had going on was a rain scene at night. They of course, supplied their own rain. Igor is standing guard with a double bladed pitch fork of some kind. It looks like he runs up to the camera as it approaches the draw bridge. It's gonna be a real creepy movie based on the costumes and set. I've got some more pictures of Frankenstein hanging in front of some blue screen, i'll send them when I get around to downloading them.

5/30/03 From CreatureCorner:

Longtime reader, first time contributor "Dr. Vitus Werdegast" just so happens to be an employee of a major theater chain... and recently a managing directors meeting was held during which they showed what could quite possibly be the first look at next years monster fest. "The first minute had no music and was mostly fighting. Looks like lots of "wire fu" which was obvious as the wires and harnesses were clearly visable. The first shot was Van Helsing using a..."

3/17/03 From EmpireOnline:

Hugh Jackman on Van Helsing

'This is kind of the younger and more adventurous swashbuckling version of Van Helsing,' explains Jackman, 'who is, for want of a better word, a mercenary for the Catholic Church who is out there killing or dealing with possessed souls of all different shapes and sizes.

2/14/03 From DarkHorizons:
