Kalam valley

Kashmir, In October 1947 the state of Jammu and Kashmir was devided into two parts- Pakistan administratered Kashmir and Indian administratered Kashmir. Line of Control (LOC) separates the two parts. this arbitrary division of the state has had a very negative effects upon the lives of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. every Kashmiri, irrespective of creed or caste aspires of the re-unification of the state. the total area of the whole state is 84000 square miles. The administrative capital of the Indian administtered Kashmir is Srinagar for summer and Jammu for winter, where as Pakistani part is further devided into two parts Azad Kashmir and FANA (federally administered northern areas). the administrative capital of Azad Kashmir is Muzaffarabad, FANA or northern areas are under direct control of Islamabad. recently a local administrative council has been established in the northern areas to run the affairs.
