*Kelda's Family* |
The Adults There are 3 adults in Kelda's house. The kids complain to Kelda that it is just unfair. The adults are always telling the kids what to do. Kelda just smiles. Nobody tells Kelda what to do (well not really- she is a well mannered cat). Kelda loves her adults very much. They give her high quality attention and play. They give her kitty treats. They call her queen kitty- a distinction Kelda is proud of . Kelda may not post any photos here of her adults. They are camera shy. Kelda is not sure why, but humans are strange, complecated creatures, unlike cats. And Kelda has a hard time figuring them out. Carrie, Kelda's main human, was found by Kelda a 3 years ago. Kelda was living in a cage and every Saturday her cage would be placed outside on hte sidewalk infront of a busy store. Kelda thought it awful and degrading how humans would stop and try to stick their hands in her cage. So, Kelda scratched them. One fall day, Carrie stopped and talk to the woman in charge of the cats. She wanted a kitten. The woman instead pointed to Kelda and said that she badly needed a home. Carrie (sucker) thought Kelda was pretty and asked to hold kelda. Kelda did not want to be held so she hissed and scratched and bit both humans. But once and a while she forgot herself and started to enjoy the kitty pets Carrie gave her. So, with blody arms, Carrie decided to take Kelda home. The cat woman cried and gave Carrie a hug after Kelda was put in a box. Kelda shortly after decided that she liked, dare I say loved, Carrie. They've been together ever since through thick and thin. It's a good thing for Kelda because Kelda was scheduled to be put down the next day! Rikke, the giver of treats, is quite a special human and Kelda's human aunt. Rikke is a full time college student majoring in education. She is a subsitute teacher and the mom of Jessie and Grace. She made the Dean's List this year with a 3.75 GPA. Somehow she still finds time to volunteer at her kids' school, take care of her family and work in her garden! Not too mention giving Kelda plenty of love. Brian, Kelda's love, the hard working husband of Rikke. Kelda has a soft spot for Brian and she is rarely ever mad at him, if ever. No matter how busy Brian is he always makes time for Kelda. Kelda wonders why all humans can't be more like him? When Brian is not busy working as a contractor, he enjoys home projects, fishing, cooking and spending time with his wife and kids. The Other Humans Tina and Paul, Kelda's aunt and uncle, run a small business that lays carpet in tiles for government and commercial industries. Thy are also the parents of Andy. When business is slow, they both enjoy throwing cook outs for their families. And both them enjoy Kelda's company so much that they ask her to visit them. Kelda loves going to their house! |
Grandma and Grandpa They live very far away in upstate New York, but come visit when they can. Kelda has seen them a lot this year! Grandpa is a retired rare book cataloger and a carousel nut. He even runs one during the summer. For some reason,he always talks about 'snarvy' cats. More proof to Kelda that humans are weird. Grandma enjoys working at a department store after being a home maker for years. She iss always wearing new fur and talking about her work. She enjoys spoiling her grandkids. Kelda likes to be spoiled! . |
