No where in this record will you find living persons. If someone was born over 100 years ago I will assume they are no longer with us. If an ancestor or cousin was born in the past century, then only those for whom I have a death date will be posted on here. |
This is the story of my family. Part of my family has lived in Kansas for over 100 years. The ancestors in this line have been found in Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, Virginia, Illinois, and New Jersey. The first ancestors to set foot in America came from Scotland, Ireland, England, France, and Sweden. The men in this tree were mostly farmers, with several blacksmiths and preachers. There are even those who were involved in a vigilante group and some were hung for murder. Part of this tree is composed of honest-to-goodness "Hillbillies" that settled in the Arkansas and Missouri Ozark Mountains in the early 1800s. The other part of my family is just being discovered. After 32 years of seperation from my paternal relatives, we have found each other. I know very little of the ancestry in this line. The fun for now is getting to know a whole side of myself that I never knew. The families in my direct ancestry are: Franzen, McDaniel, Bowling, Watts, McLaughlin, Lake, Nygren, Pettersdotter, Ericksdotter, Irwin, Clifton, Cottingham, Rounsavell, Peterson, Brown, Hiles, Nash, Shipman, Walker, Garrison, Orrender, and Horn. I am also researching my husband's ancestry, with the names Scott and Mitchell. |
I support my living relatives' right to privacy. |
