Tuesday 10-23-01 10:01 p.m.: Have I ever mentioned how much going back to dial-up sucks? I think I have... Did you know how amusing it is to get high and then go to Wal-Mart by yourself? Quite amusing as I found out earlier. I went in to get some black dye to dye a Halloween dress, and I came out with a can of Pringles, Oreo Pop Tarts, lite waffle syrup, a box of 3-cheese grits, a couple of realistic glue-on Halloween "scars", and two bottles of Rit black dye. I didn't go home and eat any of that shit, but I sure as hell wasn't aiming to buy it. Everything looks so tempting when you're high, though. ;) I hate dying things because it's a bitch to rinse all the dye out before finishing. I bought this "old english/ gothic-looking" white pajama dress and dyed it black for a Halloween party this weekend. I got my black wings and my black horns that I made out of clay, too. I think it might actually turn out kinda cool, but we'll see. I'll take pictures n' shit of it and the party and post em. Speaking of cool places to hang out and drink beer (okay, I wasn't speaking of those things, but work with me here, dammit...), Vino's on Chester and 7th Street has GOT to be the best damned "dive" in town. I LOVE that place for a whole lotta reasons. The Toadies came through there recently, and I meant to go but ended up not getting to. They always have cool shit like that going on, though... * BEER... BEER... & MORE BEER! * |

Saturday 10-20-01 12:23 p.m.: Okay, maybe I DO have an excuse for not posting on a regular basis: I just don't have anything interesting to say, and nothing interesting has happened in the last week to me. *shrugs* I just woke up about 30 minutes ago and ate Apple Jacks for breakfast. I'm still not quite awake. I'm off this weekend so I'll get around here later and see what kind of trouble I can get into. Or look for interesting sites to link... or something. Be back later. In the meantime... * These guys own my ass * Rubbers * |

Saturday 10-13-01 3:42 p.m.: Finally!! I don't have an excuse anymore for not doing regular posting and stuff. I finally got the software from SWBell and Prodigy that I needed to get my "permanent" internet service started up again. DSL isn't available where I moved to, and a satellite modem is too expensive for me right now, so I had to go back to dial-up (like way back in the dinosaur ages, heh). I noticed how much I'd miss my DSL when I tried downloading some porn last night. It took forever! Oh well... it's not the end of the world I suppose, hehe. I was unpacking some more stuff last night and hanging some of my pictures up on the wall. I got my webcam out and took some pics of shit in my room. This is actually a drawing I did a few years back for a college art class - a study in detail or form or something. The instructor told me it was one of the best ones, but his statement isn't what made it so. At least not for me anyway. I was "proud" of it before anything was ever said or it was shown to anyone. I showed myself what kind of talent I'm capable of releasing if I actually apply myself. I put alot of heart and pain-staking effort into that drawing, and I've had it hanging on my walls ever since. When I get a digital camera, I'll take another picture of it so you'll be able to truly appreciate the detail in it. Ok... Sometimes I get bored. When I get bored I tend to go looking for my own amusement. I also tend to be a very creative woman. I like to make collages. Sometimes I make them for myself, and sometimes I'll make them for friends. I made these two one day when I was looking for something to fill up wall space but was too cheap to go out and buy something. The first one is meaningful to me in that I've been a die-hard Chili Peppers fan for probably about 12 to 13 years now. Everything in that one reminds me of or pertains to the Chili Peppers in some way, shape or form. The second one I made to appeal to my "dark side". I've been a fan of Henry Rollins and Rollins Band probably as long as I have been of the Peppers. I bought the first issue of a magazine called Ray Gun, and there was an article about Henry Rollins with these cool pics you see. I'm also a huge comic book fan. A number of years ago I stole a comic from my brother that was called Marshall Law that I absolutely LOVED. I'm also a HUGE Hell Raiser fan (Pinhead is my favorite Cenobite), so when they came out with a comic combining the two... well OF COURSE I snatched it up (paid for it this time, though... didn't steal it, heh). Anyways, there ya go. That's all I really have to post about right now. I got home from work about an hour ago. By the way, I slapped out about 400 pies (pizzas) in about 4 1/2 hours, so I'm still a bit pumped up from that. My arms are gonna be sore as hell later, but it's a good kind of hurt. I needed some tone in my arms anyway, heh. I think I'm gonna call friends and see if anything is going on later. I'm in the mood to get out tonight since it's Saturday and since I've been staying at home these last few/several weekends. I need a nap first though... I feel beat! |

Tuesday 10-09-01 3:59 a.m.: Well, I had this huge-assed post, but I went and fucked up and lost it before I had a chance to save it. Oh well... shit happens. I'm too tired to write all that again, so I'll just say be patient, and I'll have you all caught up in a couple/few days or so. With the exception of a few minutes I spent online sending an email about 4 or 5 days ago, this is the first time I've been on in a couple of weeks or more. We had the kitchen, bathroom, hallway, and dining room floors remodeled in my mom's house, and it took the workmen a bit longer than expected to finish them because they had to completely tear them up and build them up from scratch. It was easier on me to just stay out at my cousin's while the work was being done, and while I was out here, I just decided to go ahead and quit dragging my ass about moving out here and move the rest of my shit. So I've been packing stuff, moving it, unpacking it, and generally just trying to get things in order. Everything's kind of a mess right now. I just got my computer set back up tonight. Here's a couple of pics to look at. I saw this at Spencer's Gifts and thought it was the coolest thing, and since it was only 3 bucks, I bought it. I think the quote I was looking for the other day was this one: "...Write as though you were trying to set the world on fire. Keep your notebooks with the abandon of one who knows his words will go up in smoke." It's not quite how I remember it, but it's the closest I could find in any of my notebooks. Too often I catch myself writing to "please" others, so to speak, but I'm getting better at NOT DOING THAT so much. I try to go at it with the attitude of writing about what amuses ME, not everyone else, and knowing that occasionally people will stop and look. Some will stay for a bit. Some will leave but come back again and again, and then some will leave, and I'll never see them again. It's ok, though. I'm perfectly happy, here in my own little world, doing what I wanna do. I don't care who's watching, and who's not... Anyways, I'm going to bed now. I keep fading in and out. I need a nap. Maddlove goes out to Lester as always (insert big devilish smirk and a wink here) and the rest of the Misplacedhate crew. Oh, and keep up the great work, Tre. **smile** Till later, taters... * Freaks, Geeks, & Automobiles * My Favorite DJ * |
