The Calvary
What defines and slightly seperates the Calvary man from another warrior, such as the Soldier, is his preference to mounted combat and travel. He relishes in his abilites at horsemanship and, when outdoors, will rarely be seen off his steed. His primary duties are to adhere to the commands of higher-ranking members and to protect the Kingdom with his fighting abilties. At this level he has achieved a keen ability at facing dangerous beasts and enemies hand-to-hand. Because of his abilities with a mount he is often expected to take on more dangerous missions that require a quick means of travel. An example of this would be to lure monsters and beasts during a champion spawn or charge out front in a battle. The Calvary man will never flee from a fight unless commanded to do so. This is taken so seriously that the Calvary man must take an oath to never flee from a battle even in the face of death. If doing so and is seen, he will be stripped of his rank and demoted to footman to never be allowed to join the calvary again. Most calvary men prefer weapons such as the halberd, bardichie, war hammer, spear and other two-handed weapons, but it is not entirely uncommon to see one wield a one-handed weapon  and shield. It is extremely rare to see an Calvery man with a bow or other ranged weapon because he relishes in the ability to face his enemy hand-to-hand. The smell of blood, steel upon stee, the swiftness of his horse, and the clash of his heavy weapon upon flesh and bone brings a great rush to the Calvary man. A Calvary man should never be underestimated because his love for his peers and Kingdom are that of a giant.

It is important you understand the restrictions for riding a mount. Please refer to the rules bellow.
The Kingdom of Inethria is strictly a medieval role-playing guild and we WILL set an example to be followed.

Uniform:

Sash or tunic in the guild color. You may wear any other clothing on your character's body so long as your character looks European medieval.

Arms and Armor:

Light to heavy armor. This includes leather, ringmail, chainmail and platemail. The Calvary man is not to wear any samurai or ninja armor that is not European medieval in appearance. It is not entirely uncommon to see a him in leather armor because it is, at times, his preference. All melee ranged weapons are allowed. You are not restricted from using bows, however keep in mid your fellow warriors, especially veterans, will look at your character in disgust and shame because a warrior of Inethria prefers close combat over ranged.

Restrictions:

Must be on a horse ONLY. No other mount be it anything other than a horse is allowed. No ethereal or summon allowed. A warrior does not have the ability to use mystical means to summon an ethereal steed. This rule is strictly enforced and only one warning will be given. In our opinion of medieval role-play, it is ridiculous to see a soldier summon a mystical mount or ride a swamp dragon. If you do not agree with this rule then The Kingdom of Inethria is not for you. No items of samurai or elven heritage. Please use judgement in this area. You may use an item so long as it cannot be seen on your character or if it appears European medieval in design. You may also use a weapon that is not overtly obvious such as nun chucks. Ask a member of leadership with questions regarding particular items allowed.

Skills Allowed:

Swordsmanship, macefighting, fencing, focus, anatomy, healing, parrying, resist spells, poisoning, tracking, lumberjacking, tactics, wrestlings, bushido and ninjistu (must be learned in role-play before being used), chivalry (again, must be learned in role-play before being used),  detect hidden.

Skills Not Allowed:

Magery (except recall), meditation, spell weaving, necromacny, evalutate intelligence, spirit speak, archery, craft skills, hiding, stealth, musician skills, animal taming skills.
