“Broken Innocence” Chapter 13
Ichigo laid face first in the dirt as Naoko and Tamura walked up to him looking down on him.
“Where have you been?!” Tamura prodded him for information.
Ichigo gets to his feet dusting off as he replies, “Don’t ask, I am not even sure if I know the answer to that question. I just know it was weird.”
Ichigo looks around the area as he questions, “Where is everyone?”
“They took off to fight that Hollow that was in the area just before you took off to nowhere.” Naoko replies.
“Well then… Looks like I will join them.” Ichigo says as he was about to run off as Tamura grabbed him by the back of his shirt choking him and bring him to a full halt.
“I do not think so big boy. You have still got training to do ‘before’ we let you go.” Tamura tells him jerking him back to face her.
“WHAT?! Training, is that what you two call the torment you have been putting me through for the last few days.” Ichigo motions with his arm in a wide sweeping action, “Hell if that is training I should let Rukia finish what you started. She is better at tormenting me anyway.”
“Torment… Training what ever you want to call it is fine with me, but you are going no where until your training is completed with us.” Naoko replies.
“AWW come on guys… I mean girls. I got Hollows to kill.” Ichigo whines as they escort Ichigo back to training.
Meanwhile, we find the Grand Fisher awaiting a certain someone that he spoke to Hideo about a few nights before.
“So I see you are waiting serenely for me to arrive.” A voice from the shadows replies.
The Grand Fisher looks in the direction of the voice as he says, “I knew you would be here. You have just as much to gain as I do with the defeat of the Soul Society.”
Gin chuckles and walks from the shadows with that sarcastic grin on his face as he replies, “Now what gave you the idea I wanted the Soul Society out of the picture?”
“Do not be coy with me and stop the games. I need to know one thing and one thing only and that is why I called you here.” The Grand Fisher exclaims.
“Oh yes, the Hollows.” Gin smirked, “Well if you must know I can tell you that there will be two very strong Hollows coming your way very soon… and you can thank that young boy you have take in for sending them to you.” Gin tells him.
The Grand Fisher looks at Gin puzzled as he asks, “Hollows sent to me by the boy? You talk foolishness Gin now tell me what I want to hear.”
“But I did… you were just not listening to me.” Gin replies, “I will say it again and this time be more aware of what I tell you.”
The Grand Fisher started to grow tired of Gin as Gin started to tell him again.
“Now, you remember the boy you picked up after his families tragic accident, well he has been out seeking trouble of his own kind while you were tending to your mission back in your world,” Gin says with a troublesome look on his face. “As it turns out, this boy, Hideo, has been plotting revenge against the Yakuza for some time now.”
Gin turns away from the Grand Fisher and walks up to a near by tree. Looking up into the tree, he continues to speak, “Hideo found his revenge when you gave him that potion you had managed to concoct and the results were not so pretty, let me tell you,” “We were watching his every move in the soul society. As a mater of fact, we have been monitoring him since you found him.”
“I don’t understand,” replies the beast. “What two Hollows could you be speaking of, I don’t know of any two new Hollows that are that powerful or wicked!”
“Well perhaps that is because they are not in habiting your realm yet,” Gin mentions. “Now that you have the knowledge of these two men, perhaps you should seek them out.” “Go before some body else decides they are not bound for this world any longer.”
“But I still do not know who these people are or where to find them.” Grand Fisher says to Gin with a quiver of disbelief in his voice. “Do you know anything that might lead me to them?”
Gin looks at the beast once more, “As long as you are still planning on keeping your end of the barge then I will fill you in on the last of the information, do you plan on keeping your word Grand Fisher?”
The Grand Fisher responds with a delighted look on his face, “Of course I will keep my word, my alliance with you is just as beneficial to you as it is to me.” The Grand Fisher approached Gin as he waited for his response. Gin was silent for a few moments, as if he was contemplating whether or not to share his new found news.
Gin was now considering taking these boys under his own wing, if he had these two men for himself and was able to get them into the Seireitei. Gin was beside himself with the decision. His friend did have a point as well.
After a few minutes, Gin looked up at the beast with an answer. “Yes, you are right. It is in our best interest to work together right now.” Gin grew more serious, “Keep this one thing in mind as you achieve your goal. I will come for you when the time is right, when that day comes, you must obey me and come to my side, or I will annihilate you with one blow.”
The Grand Fisher backed away in utter fear and he responds. “Yes, Gin. As you wish. I would never turn on you for I know that the consequences would be dire.”
Then listen close because I will only say this once. “The names of the men that Hideo has slaughtered are Nobuo Amano; he is, or was, the newest ring leader for the Yakuza, and the other man was his right hand man who goes by the name Daisuke Koroshiya. Find these men and turn them to Hollows. Do it now, do not hesitate. Once you have done so you will have the help you need to rid yourself of Ichigo forever.” Gin looked pleased with himself. He knew that one day he too would reap the rewards of building such a useful clan of henchmen.
“I shall search for the men in Karakura Town and do as you have instructed. Since I am searching for spirit energy, I should be able to locate them shortly. Thank you for your help; I will put it to good use.”
Across town Uryu, Chad, and Rukia were plotting how to rid them selves of these unbelievably powerful new enemies. Ichigo was back receiving the remainder of his training. Orihime had gone to pick up lunch for every one while they brainstormed at Urahara’s shop. On her way there, she felt a strange presence. She decided to follow it and what she found was not at all appetizing.
She peered around a corner to see what was going on. There she saw Hideo and the Grand Fisher chasing two human souls down the street. Fortunately, for her they were running in the opposite direction. She watched from her current position.
Hideo blasted a beam of energy from his left hand and sent the souls flying into a building. The Grand Fisher then tackled the men and began to consume their souls as they transformed into huge and hideous beasts before her eyes.
The first of the men, which was Amano, morphed into a serpent with giant razor sharp spikes along his spine. Glowing liquid dripped from his fangs and as it hit the ground, it burned holes through the pavement. He coiled up and hissed in satisfaction at what he had become. Power coursed through his evil veins. Hideo gasped in surprise in what he was seeing.
Orihime knew these new Hollows were only going to make things much worse for her and her friends. She thought about turning to run but decided not to, it would be in her best interest to see what else unfolded here. She continued to look on in disbelief.
The second man began to change now. He grew larger than his former boss. He stood on two massive legs and wielded an enormous samurai sword. The blade was thin and glistened in the glare of the afternoon sun. The beast had formed a white mask now that resembled that of an ogre, red eyes glowed from beneath the mask and the beast let out an earth-shattering roar. The buildings trembled at the sound that poured from the beast. He swung his mighty blade and the buildings around him came crashing to the streets below.
With that, the on looking girl grabbed her ears and dropped to the ground terrified. Thoughts raced through her head. Her heart was racing as well. She thought to her self, “What should I do, if I stay I might be sought out and killed? But if I go I may not learn what this boy and the Grand Fishers true plan really is.” Orihime looked terrified and was truly shaken.
She turned to look once more.
